It’s already enough in QP, but then you literally win 3-0 in stadium and you still have to go “gg” in match chat? How do you figure it was a “good” game to the enemy team? Of course you don’t, it was good just for you. Not a close 4-3 game where the last round was also barely won, no, a complete stomp.
No, it’s not “manners” or “sportsmanship”. People saying that never actually type “GLHF”, just have to rush to match chat, cause team chat isn’t enough. And people saying they “always type”, no, they don’t. Literally seen these type be first to type after a win and first to quietly leave when they lose the next game.

it is. this just reeks of you never having played a sport when you were younger. win or lose, stomp or be stomped, you always shook the opposing players hands at the end of the game, you even see it professional sports, doesnt matter if you go to game 7, or get swept 4-0, you still shake the opposing teams hand.

Which would be fine, if they also said it when they lose. But it’s almost always just the winning team saying it at this point. Given without more context, a 3-0 could have still have some pretty close rounds.

A lot of people on this game never been apart of any team, let alone played any organized team sport, so it makes sense why they’re so terrible at understanding proper end game traditions (and at team games in general).

Oh I’m sure some do. But I’ve been in enough games to see it’s mainly the winning team who says it. And enough qp games where the same players are in the next. Gg when they win, complaining and quitting when they lose. Again, of course it’s not everyone.

I’m thoroughly convinced that the only reason I have an endorsement level 5 is that I say “gg wp all” after every match, win or lose.
The bar for being a ‘friendly’ player is really that low, these days

Typing GG at the end of the game is considered sportsmanlike conduct. Like when you shake your opponent’s hand at the end of a match in real sports contests.
So even if the game was a stomp, even if you were spawn camped most of the game, regardless of whether you were the stomper or the stomped, typing ‘gg’ is considered the norm.
Just don’t type ‘gg ez’ because that will get you reported and banned.

I get the sense that many players who just suffered a loss and see ‘gg’ imagine the other player really means “gg ez”…
But if that player didn’t actually type gg ez then why waste time trying to get inside their head and ascertain what they really meant? You’re only giving yourself a headache and tilting yourself at that point lol
