You try and get people back i to the game, and then you forcefeed them forced losses over, and over, and over again. Every damn match i get literal bots on my team. No idea how to coordinate, no idea how to swap when being countered, no idea how to group up, no idea how team comps work, no idea about positioning.
I made it 2 weeks. 2 weeks until these losses became so obviously forced its unreal. Im not the best player, i dont claim to be, but i also dont just int my butt off every match like half of my teammates do.
Diamond/masters lobbies and i get winstons who just spend 3 rounds on koth against orisa mauga zenyatta bastion. or i get games where i make all the space in the world on kings row, literally pushed defenders back to the second choke for 20 seconds, for my teammates to still be sitting around the forst choke doing nothing. I hate you blizzard.
I understand your pain and frustration COMPLETELY. I can only recommend you take a break like me. Eventually hitscan watch will return to overwatch and the matchmaking will be fixed.
EOMM will give you decent matches. After that, you are considered an addict who will not leave the game trying to get that dopamine hit from those first few easy wins…
I’ve played an hour now, my teammates don’t even push forward anymore. You can kill the tank and your tank will not give you space and let the enemy regroup. So obvious.
I honestly wouldn’t even put it past them to add AI bots to the lobbies at this point, because that’s how many of the random teammates feel and look like.
Straight pathing down main on literally any map with zero awareness and the worst positioning ever and never replying to any kind of input be it pings or text chat.
You have to understand most people in this game are COD refugees and have no idea how to team up. I literally just flank on tank and win. Just goof off and have fun. The comp mode is a complete waste of time in hopes of climbing without a duo.
I’m a masters support with 8+ yrs in this game, and went 0-13 across a few game modes recently because at least one of the dps/tank were just trying out a new hero and throwing.
Why does it happen to me and not enemy team? Because there’s TONS of groups in the queue taking advantage of all this and I queue solo or at most with 1 other player.
This game is for stacks and smurfs. Everyone else is fodder for them.
Yep - got teammates all playing like bots for the past week. ‘Press W to faceplant alone, hey maybe I can reach the enemy spawn and keep them locked in there 1vs5 forever’.
At least today I met another healer tired of this crap in Stadium, we teamed up and started winning, despite the best efforts of anti-team self-owning trolls.
You think Overwatch is bad? Try playing Heroes of the Storm. When dealing with Blizzard matchmaking, I learned the hard way that if your first two games are hard losses, the matchmaking algorithm is definitely working against you. You’re better off just moving onto a different game for the rest of the day and trying again the next day, or better yet, the next week. The win/loss autocorrelation in these Blizzard games is truly insane. I’m pretty sure this is by design to reel in people who haven’t played in a while.
You know, I could live with the losing streaks - at this point in time I’m convinced there are bots in my games (Masters+ in each of the roles, console for those wondering).
But for the love of the unholy, why does this damn system still not incorporate backfills into comp matches? I have to sit in a game which is an almost guaranteed loss because one of my team mates decides to leave or has technical issues. B-a-c-k-f-i-l-l the open role. The person who backfills gets marginal gains for a win but takes nothing if the game they backfill into is a loss. Punish the leavers, not those of us who remain.
I agree, and a week ago I had Mauga on my team who I genuinely believe might have been an actual AI bot. He was moving very strangely, in very straight lines until he got to a turn and he would stop, rotate slowly and then move in another straight line. Looked very much like the pathing of an NPC character.
I wouldn’t at all put it past Blizzard to put bots on your team.
Yep! This happened to me as well. My friend decided to play OW again when the new patch came out recently. We played 5 matches and every single one was an absolute horrible experience. We had no chance. Every team we got matched against were in every way better than us and our teams felt like new players. The matchmaking in this game is by far the worst I have ever experienced. My friend stopped playing again, and I haven’t played the game since then either.
