You will play better if you turn off coms and chat off completely

when those things are off there shouldn’t be anything distracting you from the game and you will have lazer focus on everything that is going on in the game you can focus on ult tracking, positioning, when to take fights ability management way easier if you are not so focused on people arguing over team composition.

Seriously thinking of doing this. I’m sick of toxic teammates.

Did this for my climb from plat to GM. Made things a lot easier. I only recommend it if you’re playing a hero that is sorta a soloer. I used widow so I didnt exactly need comms as long as I paid attention to what was going on in the match.

It’s so much easier to play overwatch when you’re not in voice. People rarely have useful callouts, and when you have useful callouts, they rarely listen to them. I think a lot of people over-value their vocal input. I think even more people under-utilize the ability to mute them. It’s more viable than ever now that you can see your teammates ult percentage.

I already do this on both of my accounts. These days the only comp is brigitte which is beyond easy to play without a mic.

Done this on both accounts a few seasons ago, climbed so much more quickly after doing this. Hit Diamond a few times on both accounts too.

I think this is true if you played a DPS hero, for tanks and supports it is probably not cause they rely more on team play and turning of your coms will probably annoy them, especially if you do dumb stuff like trickle in.
