As a player who is in bronze (and I freely admit that I belong in bronze), I don’t want this because it would result in me being placed in games that are significantly above my ability.
I would end up being the worst player in the game almost all the time, which would not be fun at all.
I would be locked at gold 5 with 0 rank progression, which would not be fun. I’d much rather see my rank go up and down within bronze.
Yes, there are surfers who go to bronze and destroy us all there and some people who don’t try at all, but I’d much rather deal with a few bad apples in bronze than be by far the worst player in every game, and drag my teammates down with me.
