You should not gain xp for endorsing someone

I swear, the forums are just a breeding ground for hatred and finding the negatives in everything. It’s astounding that it still exists.

Exactly, the game ends it asks for you to endorse and you’re like “why not free xp” and you randomly select someone for and endorsement. Then that guy gets a high endorsement level and when he goes to competitive everyone thinks “oh he has a high endorsement level he must be a good teammate” but he got it by pure randomness

Would be fun if the person gets a reward for being endorsed so much and a mute at the same time at starting up the game :smiley:

I’m trying to make the endorsement system mean something, how is that hate? How is it hate to try to help the game systems work the way they are supposed to?

I think any form of action against your account resets your endorsement level, not 100% sure on that though.

I agree, I endorse for the exp no matter how good or bad the teammate did. Then again if there was no exp I likely wouldn’t endorse at all because it’s still a pointless reputation system

Think of it this way endorsements are the opposite of reporting. Reporting is trying to get rid of bad unwanted players and endorsements are way of promoting good wanted players. You don’t get xp for reporting because the people would report randomly it goes the same for endorsments

So a system designed to weed out toxic people being flipped around to reward people for being toxic. And everyone wonders why Blizzard can’t do anything about the toxic community. Good job.

At some point those people, assuming they keep their endorsement level high, will get in-game rewards as well for being toxic.

The funny thing is that I didn’t even know that it gave you xp because I wasn’t paying attention… I was giving them out to people that I noticed were doing well or who actually were good teammates/shot callers. I am sad that this was what it took to get rid of most of the toxicity in the game, but it’s also working. \o/

theres nothing wrong with the current way their doing it so just leave it as is :man_shrugging:

Where is the misbehaviour happening? Like I said it takes about 0.1 seconds to think up who deserves an endorse.

why would I try harder when there’s less rewards in store?
