You lose stats when you disconnect from comp?

So i’ve just been disconnected towards the end of a competitive game and I managed to reconnect back to my team just in time to help them win.

When you are disconnected for whatever reason you lose all of your stats like damage, healing, mitigation, kills, deaths… everything gets reset back to 0 including your ultimate.

This might make sense for Quick Play but for Competitive it should retain your information and your ultimate charge so that if the player does reconnect everything isn’t lost, you aren’t going to get replaced by a random in competitive so if the game disconnects you because of a server issue or a wifi issue why shouldn’t it keep all of your stats and ultimate charge?

You always have, you always will, and they do not care if they cause the d/c or not.

They claim they don’t know the difference between people clicking exit and a connection issue, if it’s on their end or your end, and they will never bother to find out/correct this behaviour.

Or such is the messaging we’ve received throughout OW1, at least.

Whether or not if someone presses leave or they disconnect it should still retain the information. If the game is lagging really bad and soldier is flying faster than the race cars on circuit royale then I might feel inclined to leave and reconnect to see if it helps… 9 times out of 10 it fixes itself in seconds anyways so people don’t have to do that, but that shouldn’t mean people have to start from scratch in the middle of a game or round.

I’ve barely been disconnected before during comp games and this is the first time I’ve noticed it, what a stupid way to handle it.

Again, they don’t care. If you’re trolling your own team and dickconnect intentionally, you should lose your stats.

If not, you should keep your stats (aka I lowkey agree with you), but this doesn’t stop someone from unplugging their cord/router/whatever to mess with their teammates.

The OW team takes the view that some games will be completely lopsided and broken, and your average stats will recover over time if that has been the case. They don’t even care much about poor matchmaking, their response is ‘gg go next will fix everything’.

Also I’m in no way making excuses for nor defending their policies, I’m just informing you and others what they are or how they’ve behaved up to now.
