For the weapon: Torb’s hammer.
I teleport the heck out of town and take my stuff with me. I’ll take Torb’s hammer along in case anything breaks, that way I can simply mend it by thwacking it. Good luck, folks.

Then make a company and basically eliminate anyone who gets in the way
Then a hero comes around and my evil scheme is foiled in a spectacular way and I am sent to jail, where I soon break out to do it again
