1 = no comms
2= awareness
1+0=1 therefore you are receiving less value by negating one simple factor
2+0=2 therefore you are receiving less value by negating one simple factor

now, if you add them together…
1+2=3 you gain more value than either one on their own…

then the player can stay in the rank they belong in. or they can take charge of the communication, although depending on what role they play, it might not be the best. but completely negating the value of comms is ridiculous.

good examples of comms: “enemy has X ult” “x enemy is low” “x shield broken” “dva no dm” “tracer no blinks/recall”

its not hard. people just refuse to do it, and thats on them, not the game, nor the other players.

if u need comms to do wut sum1 else can do without them, you’re not as good as they.

in fact looking over the rigged matchmaking patents there seems to be a provision for “non-toxic” behaviour, binning people that use comms and have high endorsement with eachother and vs. others that dont and get reported more frequently.

i find it hilarious people need to come into overwatch and preach about “improvement” in a fake rigged sham system. just admit you play overwatch bcuz u can’t game anywhere else.

overwatch, where meritocracy is tossed in favour of inclusion.

• sloppy aim? np we assist and bin around it.
• never have to go through a ladder reset aka new season…ever
• never have to face other people’s main accounts…ever
• have hitboxes and registration breakpoints rigged (dda aim assist/resist)
• have matchmaking rigged via things you’ll never see…ever
• play a game with very little depth/chess because of 222 scripts and repeated to death gaemplay.
• wait in queues that would put most gamers to sleep

and yet simultaneously:

• complain people are not in comms.
• expect to be owed something via team comp, comms, peels, synergy
• expect to not have to carry every single win in the bottom1%
• expect to scapegoat others and promote “fairplay” when everything is still rigged.
• expect to dodge solo queue and rack up most stats via grouping

lmao

comms are a crutch just like heals and shields
u dont get better winning
and u dont get better relying on any1 else for anything

here’s the thing. this call out is fine. this call out works many times in gold. but many times it does not… and below gold it’s 1 in 10 ish in my experience when I support, I tell every body… including multiple games tonight… this “reaper is a menace to the back line” Help us. He’s always here, and none of you are here. It falls on deaf ears, or they’re too focused on their own gameplay. And yes, I should’ve been able to duel him… but he switched right when I got the ult. The decision was to blow the ult with a switch, or just lose it. obv I chose wrong and lost before I could switch, and we lost that game… but sheesh no one listens… at least on console.

you can either sit in the LFG waiting forever for that last player for your six stack, or accept a fill player and be grateful.

I’ve litterally had people s c r e a m at me for having a friends only profile. SO yeah, I think the demand of players to show it is ridiculous and even if my stats are high, it doesn’t guarantee other players a win. Typically these people expect a free boost.

Now, as to comms. I don’t tend to demand people have mics, but i do feel as though I’d rather atleast have someone in the voice channel, especially for teamwork. But that’s just me and I’m not going to get nasty over it.

I mean, I watch a ton of t500 streamers who not only go off comms frequently, they’ll also tell you if you ask that comms aren’t really necessary until you hit high ranks.

My own personal experience when I played comp as a solo queue main tank between Bronze and Gold was that frequently, the majority of people on my team would not be in team voice. Either they were in group chat, Discord calls with their group, or just chilling out of voice chat. It’s really wasted effort unless you put together a group of like minded people.
