This is interesting, according to the blogpost the mythic prisms can now also be used for mythic weapon skins
Coming in our mid-season update, we’ll be introducing a new type of Mythic cosmetic, the Mythic Weapon Skins. Like our Heroic Weapon Skins, you’ll be able to equip a Mythic Weapon Skin with any Hero Skin (for the matching hero) and will come with exclusive sound and visual effects. Another way to spend your Mythic prisms, you can unlock the base skin at 50 Mythic Prisms, and then unlock additional levels at 10 Mythic Prisms including a Weapon Flourish emote, elimination visual effects, and reactive effects.
Stay tuned to unlock incredible powers with the Mythic Bound Demon Reinhardt Weapon Skin, coming July 23. This dynamic weapon will unleash the fury of a demon with every swing. Flourish your hammer by spinning it in the air. Defeat your foes and watch as the demon’s power grows in every match you play. You’ll be calling out “Big Slam!” as opponents fall to a fiery surge through every Earthshatter.
I like it, adds some real choice to the the battlepass. Like especially seems like a good consolation if the mythic skin is underwhelming.
And from the trailer the mythic weapons seemed pretty cool. The rein one makes enemies vanish into hell when you kill them and makes your fireballs explode
It sends them to the shadow realm.

Crazy idea, but what if they put enough mythic prisms into the battle pass I already pay for to get both? Or maybe make the weapons cost the premium currency instead?
Why do we need a choice? Why do we pay for a battle pass and receive fomo anyway?
i would rather pay 10 mythic points to disable the god awful voice filters that they put on every mythic.
i don’t even buy the battle passes, but i grinded and earn all the freebie gold coins and got it and i wanted a mythic. i bought the mercy one because that’s the only one without the voice effects (besides sigma)

I would highly prefer they don’t FOMO Mythic prism like that.
Especially if you want both, it’s kind of genuinely the Apex heirlooms update.

Nah, hear me out, I’m cutting it with cosmetics. I will not support further changes like that. They expect people to pay 300$ every 2 months.
Very worrying about the direction they’re heading, because its obvious this is added to extract +100$ every season from the whales
Honestly, the thing I dont like its that you cant get both mythic skin and the mythic weapon on their season (S11).
Like, I paid for the BP, I grind the BP, I get to lvl 80, I at least should get them since they are cosmetics from S11 (not talking about shop skins).
Anyway, I like, would never pick a mythic weapon over a mythic skin (that comes a “mythic weapon” already).

They should give you an extra amount of prism if you get to lvl200 instead of those mega lame titles.

the only reason they did this is so people who own all the mythics are still missing out and able to spend money on Prisms

Kinda scummy blizz, NGL.
It’s already bad enough that when you use the prisms you have to unlock them level by level.
(Take last seasons mythic, I liked the base colour scheme but liked it better with the skull mask but I had to buy every level even though I won’t use the other parts of the skin, like why?)

I have all the mythics (some I got for free with the BP with weekly challenges coin grind) and I still would not pick any mythic weapon over a mythic skin)
ashe skin looks ugly anyway so I go with reins mythic

Blizzard please just stop with all the cash grab things you’re adding to the game it’s so disappointing to pay for a battle pass just for skins that aren’t in the battle pass to be worse than the shop skins or the mythic ones I pay for the pass just add more prisms so we don’t have to choose as much reward your loyal players instead of everyone else we pay for the pass at least reward us for it
For instance get rid of the titles at the end of the pass instead as extra stuff like skins and prisms or whatever stuff that can actually reward people who play and grind for them you’re going to lose your playerbase at this rate.
A mythic skin for a WHOLE hero that does a lot of changes, or merely a weapon for another hero, and the upgrades for it are something pretty minimal. Yeah nah.
