Seriously, can we draw some attention to this? It’s got so much room for improvement. I feel like I’m sifting through dirt trying to find what I’m looking for all the time.
Replays, options…you name it. It’s so scattered.
I love this game, but man do I hate the UI.

Replays and highlights should be their own tab, not a subsection in Career Profile.

This and so much more…hire a consultant guys, Jesus Christ. I do miss the big HIGHLIGHTS button on the main menu fr.

Yeah I hate everything about the menu/U.I currently
No clue why they had to completely remake the menu and everything just to downgrade it hard and make it ugly

I find it absolutely amazing how we had a fully functioning game and UI one day, and then it was replaced by the complete downgrade we see today. AAA free to play, baby.

Incoming dmg feedback was always worst in OW. You have to literally watch you HP if youre getting damaged or not because you just cant know when youre focused on your aim and stuff. After 1500 hours Im kinda getting this, but still…
I’m talking about the menu system, primarily. I don’t mind this so much - seems fine to me.
It’s an old adage, but “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.” Wisdom in these words. How 'bout redefine a sequel by not putting in garbage just because it’s a “new” game.
Seriously…just freaking send out surveys and find out what people like to see most after a game. BOOM. There’s your roadmap. Fix this thing.

Been talking about what a terrible downgrade the UI/menus were since the betas, where I said I hoped it was just placeholder UI for the real thing that was unfinished, but nope, that’s really what they were going for. If you knew nothing about the game and looked at them side by side, I promise you’d think OW2 was the OG game and OW1 was the sequel because sequels should be improved versions of the original thing, but OW2 UI is ugly, clunky, inefficient, broken.
It looks like a poorly conceived, poorly implemented system put together by people who have never in their lives played the game or navigated menus within any game. For a AAA company, it’s the most generically bad UI that I have ever seen. Disastrously bad. It looks like it’s meant for a mobile game, so I have no other choice but to conclude it was designed for that ultimate future.

This is real feedback, Blizz…fix this, please.
I do. It’s like some pre-alpha game style.
Heroes of the Storm has a nice one. Copy that.

They probably did. The entity probably told them to make the menus confusing as possible so people click on “buy battepass” or anything in the shop just to find Mercy’s cookie recipes.
Did they get rid of game clips?
I liked those.

I already gave my feedback too, but nothing changed in season 2.
I wish they added a home button to all the submenu screens or they should add a button for a quick menu with important shortcuts so we can change screens without pressing ESC millions of times (especially in arcade modes with submenus).

This is what mobile developers do. I dunno if we can give them the benefit of the whole mobile game doubt.
I actually think everything, menu wise is a lot better. The main menu, the game specific stats showing how you did, how clean and proper the HUD looks in-game and stuff.
Only thing I would change would bring more features back out into the open, viewing your stats for a game or a replay requires going through a lot of stuff. Should be easier to get too, but otherwise I really love the design for everything.
But the fact that Echo has no 2D portrait is annoying.

Yeah, my problem with it has less to do with the look of everything…it’s the menu structure. It’s clunky and inefficient.

The UI and menus are inferior to OW1 in any shape and form.
This is what happens when you change things for the sake of changing something and not doing it to improve the game.

Yeah, it doesn’t make any sense to me. Are they trying to turn Overwatch 2 UI into like those cheap Chinese mobile games?

I mostly just hate how everything slides in one by one. It only takes a second, but it feels like forever hovering my mouse over where I intend to click
Overwatch1 UI and menus weren’t really good. Ow2’s are worst. And it was very difficult to do worse.
Like if it was not ergonomic on purpose…
