Yet another "nobody asked" change with knockback resistance

Did anyone ask for knockback resistance to be lowered?

People asking for headshot passive on tanks to be applied selectively.
People asking for it to be removed.
People asking for DPS passive to be increased again on tanks.
People asking for armour to be reverted.
People asking for so many things.

But NOBODY asking for knockback resistance to be reduced.

Why do blizz make these random changes? You can see why nobody understands the direction the balance team are going. There is none!

Brig needs to be even more powerful, I guess.

I pretty much only play tank and I don’t mind the knock back change to be honest, I’m all for tanks feeling a little less ā€œmini raid bossā€ like

It’s a good change. You can’t knock tanks off of anything unless they’re standing right on the lip, which doesn’t make sense. They should have to be mindful of their positioning, too.

I don’t even think that’s what people have in mind with it. It’s not about the lack of environmental kill potential, it’s the lack of ability to get a tank off of you, once they get on you.

So like for example if a rein charges into you or a monkey leaps on you, a boop does nothing to actually create distance against them. I don’t think most people care about environmental kills against tanks.

blizz has access to massive amounts of data that we do not. its not a complicated thought process for most of us to handle.

I’m on the fence about this reasoning. I agree tanks should be mindful of their reasoning, but why should booping heroes get to one shot tanks of all classes? Of course, I’m of the opinion that people only hate one shots when it happens to them.

And, of course, people are quick to say ā€œjust don’t stand there!ā€ as the tank. Meaning, if the enemy’s there, don’t be there. Let them have the point. Back away. The tank can’t stand there.

Yeah, knockbacks are important for this, too. I just know how frustrating it can be to not be able to punish tanks. I was trying to knock a Hog around Well on Ilios yesterday as Orisa, and you straight can’t push him in the hole with javelin spin. The knockback resistance is high enough that he can maneuver enough in the air to keep himself from falling in. It’s pretty silly.

To a point. I think some passive knockback resistance for tanks is fine, but there was too much before this change. It should probably still be lowered a bit more.

I’m kind of glad Brig can knock tanks away again instead of making them just very slightly flinch.

It’s made handling Winston a lot better to be sure.

I actually like the knockback resistance being reduced. But I’m a Ball main, so might be biased.

I’m pretty sure most people have been asking for knockback reduction nerf since they increased it, yeah

No but I’m glad they did.

b00p!!

Time to start shouting mace to the face to every tank again

Yet how often do they make a change and then revert it or mostly revert it next patch? Or random changes nobody asked for, like the sigma ult change for LoS, and then revert it the very next day?

Maybe it’s you that struggles with the complicated thought process of how they get it wrong so often when they have all that data?

very little if you are honest about it, it usually takes more than 1 round of updates to revert a specific change

you seem to think that our opinions matter to blizz about balancing, they have said in a round about way, that we are all idiots and do not know what we are talking about, and i completely agree with them about that

that very well could be a possibility. but the ā€˜changes’ the forums want or you want are completely stupid.

Lucio is back to camping behind the wall and knocking the tank off that one bridge.
