It is not outright impossible. Just an actual needle in haystack occurrence.
Maybe i typed that poorly. That wall and aim hacks on pc are way more common in pc lobbies than xim in console lobbies.
Anyone here with experience in both PC and console? I highly doubt that aimbotters are actually more common than ximmers
Does every GM game have an aimbotter like every GM console game has a ximmer?
At least aimbotters get banned eventually lmao. No xim user has ever been banned
People should also be aware that using a xim extension on console is actually not like using a m&kb on pc. You do not have precision aim. You cannot do flick shots. It is extremely slippery and there is a delay input lag. I’m not even sure it’s an advantage at all on some heroes.
Bigger point is consoles have the capability of plugging a m&kb into the usb and working perfectly fine without any peripherals. This should be a feature from years and years ago. They don’t do this purposefully to force their gear on the consumers. It’s not like they can’t do it. The capabilities have been installed into the hardware since ps3/360. They bottle neck it. So screw them anyways
I play on both. Cheating on PC is WAYYYYY more common. In every elo. You’ll see bronze players using hacks. It’s maybe 1 in 3 games you’ll get a hacker. Xim users are rare and the advantage they gain is minimal in comparison to actual cheating. I’m all for fair play. But this feels like a big waste of resources to avoid addressing the real problems.
Ya know, like when are you dumbos going to quit making Orisa meta. Or how the s9 dps passive destroyed jq and hogs kits rendering them effectively useless. Baby steps.
About that…
Seriously though PC gaming in general has way more problems with third party cheat software and hardware than consoles do with unapproved peripherals.
Okay. I see.
I’d say that depends on rank and mode but overall there are more people cheating on PC than console.
Have you used a Xim or similar device lately? It’s very, very close now with very low latency when set up correctly.
You do have precision aim and you can flick shot.
Since more games are offering “linear input” with uniform acceleration and very high sensitivities, devices like Xim very closely mimic how mice are on PC. In fact I’d say in the case of Xim in particular, they rose to the fore because of how well their software handles the conversion in feel and latency.
You are correct they have the capability and you absolutely can do this as long as the game supports it. Say, Warframe or Fortnite as examples.
It has been a feature for multiple console generations. “They” [platform owners] allow it, it’s on game devs to implement native mouse and keyboard (or other input devices such as flight sticks or racing wheels) in their software. Most do not.
friend groups, and team mate are a bit factor too, i still play console bc my friends play ow console and we cant rank together
And im still learning mouse and keyboard on pc, its frustrating when your 2k hours only help u with game sense, aim is totally new to work with
For the uninformed:
Your video was released October 2022. Note a key word in the descripton of the video, “currently”
Now let’s go check the patch notes in november 2022, a month after this video was released.
“ Crossplay and Aim Assist
We made a change to Aim Assist in Crossplay (PC+ Console) lobbies. If you play in a Crossplay game now, Aim Assist is enabled in all matches except Competitive.”
It was disabled initially. They enabled it after seeing how console players did without it in a PC environment.
Chaotic neutral. Wanna see the world burn
Xim Matrix users don’t use controllers, they use it with M&K for the boosted aim assist and no-recoil scripts.
Even PC players in high elos use Xim matrix for the built in aim assist and no recoil scripts.
There is a huge difference in movement and input, because Ximmers set their controller sens in-game to max then configure the rest using the firmware that comes with the hardware’s firmware.
I’ve encounters tons of Xim users in QP that turn just as fast as any PC player, with the exception of having boosted aim assist and no-recoil on heroes that have recoil when firing their weapons.
So no. Ximmers have a massive advantage over everyone. That’s just a fact.
However, with the ban on these hardware hacks, none of this will matter either way anymore, as Ximmers will be crying and regular console players using controlles can finally be able to play without having to worry about Ximmers ruining their experience just like PC players in QP can finally relax a bit more and not having to fear running into them.
Yea I play high rank console so I’m familiar with the bums
Crying about an unfair advantage and cheating is wild. If you play console you are meant to use controller like everyone else.
Glad its banned. Its ruined console overwatch for years. Now we just need full rank resets to all accounts.
There will be dozens of threads in the coming weeks of cheaters salty they got banned, pretending to have a disability.
No they don’t.
There is no aim assist on PC Overwatch.
(For anti recoil scripts and macros a lot of gaming mice come with manufacturer software on which you can use premade scripts/macros or make your own. Plus many more beside…)
