Yep, Ana and Genji is still as Overtuned as ever

You’d think a 3 month break would give the devs some time to fix this, but it seems not

Sleep dart’s hitbox is still way larger than it should be
Bio-nade is still a team win button
Right click spam is still Genji only button
Nano-blade is still a 3k- 5k

Are the devs waiting for OW 3 or something to tune this right?

Before anyone comes here and claims they are played a lot because they are popular
true to an extent but not really
they are played a lot because they are also busted
If you were to nerf anti heal effect from 100% to 50% and nano boost heal, Ana’s pickrate would drop by half, that’s how OP it is (ability with power of an ult on 10 sec cooldown)
For Genji, his kit is just over bloated with get out of jail cards for stalling and snowball mechanics, spam and burst damage. The only skillfull part he has is primary fire, he just needs a damn rework or smth

Is this bait? Ana is mediocre at best and Genji is pretty bad outside of nano blade.

Dash isn’t a snowball mechanic, it doesn’t increase in damage everytime you get a kill. Literally, nothing in Genji’s kit other than maybe dash can be considered a get out of jail free card.

Seriously? As someone who hates Genji’s playstyle, but likes his lore; he hasn’t been OP since about the time Moira showed up. Half the time I see a Genji now, they try to dive someone and then die. He use to be an issue because he didn’t have any counters that were actually played until most of the defense roster got a rework. He also at least SOFT countered the entire support roster for a long time. Thankfully that’s been rectified, and he can no longer just kill supports with impunity. He’s lost a lot of his sustainability now that a lot more people can hit through deflect.

Honestly, I don’t think Ana’s overperforming. She has a winrate of like 52% at higher ranks, and it’s not even that high at lower ranks. If they really feel like it’s a problem, they could just revert nade to it’s original half radius, like it was suppose to be originally. Then you couldn’t nade the whole team at once.

I would simply claim they are neither played a lot nor busted and I would use stats to back that up. Ana is played sure, but nobody is happy to see Genji on their team. Usually the first thing said is “Genji this is not working can you swap?” because its not working.

give me a drink, bartender

Anything specific you want? Pick your favorite. Got all sorts of drinks here on the house.

It has to be.

I wish.

That’s intentionally designed that way. That’s like saying “Widow scoping his her only option” or “Rein can only spam close range”.

I put genji on his back every time he tries to blade as Reinhardt. Sometimes I laugh at him.

Nah, they just know that ruining two characters to appease someone on the forums who, honestly speaking, have likely never designed a game in their life is stupid.

Yeah, if you dramatically weaken a hero, they’ll be played less. That’s a great observation there, partner.

Lmao.

Ana is fine where she’s at. She’s good when she’s got good nano targets (Doom, Genji, Rein, Zarya, Soldier, Reaper, etc.) in the meta or the tanks are particularly vulnerable to Anti-Nade (like rein or hog). Her overall heals aren’t all that great tbh unless you’re using Anti-Nade for heals and nano-ing a low-hp teammate, but they feel better to use. She can def sustain a fight until someone steps behind a barrier. Sleep is NOT easy to hit on anything other than a tank or big boy dps. Anti-Nade requires you to either be VERY patient or take a risk to get the grenade to hit valuable targets, plus you need a team that follows up.

Genji is good when Squishies don’t have outs to him, like Doom punch, Cree Flash, Brig bash, hook, etc. If you play like a duelist Genji you need heavy mechanics but you can get more value than just farming blades every other fight.

As an Ana main myself, I find that often I can’t really do much because Tanks don’t want to move up even when I can land an Anti-Nade should they make the barriers beak faster. Dps rarely know what to do with a nano, and most don’t realize that if I nano them, they actually do more damage.

The primary reason why they’re so powerful is quite simply because they take more skill than most others in their role to use. Ana is the most skill-based of all the supports (save for Zen) and demands pinpoint precision with heals compared to everyone else. Genji is like a scalpel to Doom’s hammer. More precise and dangerous if used right, but takes a hell of a lot more skill to use.
