Reason: Abusive Chat.
Let’s just say that this isn’t the first time he’s been suspended for such actions. For those interested, taken from PCgamesn:
His 15-day suspension could mean that Lengyel won’t make the Overwatch World Cup, where he’s scheduled to play for team Canada next month, though the team’s coach is confident that won’t be the case.

Let’s hope that this doesn’t affect his world cup status… Nonetheless though, this isn’t a good way to get back into the overwatch scene.
He did make a post on twitter about the ban hopefully they will take it into consideration, if they think about banning him

It’d be a terrible PR move to ban him from the WC. 10’s of thousands of viewers show up just to watch him.
Of course, if they don’t care about Twitch views, they’re free to do what they want.

Why is he such a mess? Grow the hell up. Never seen someone so good at messing up a gaming career.
Dude needs a life coach…

Old news.
Jayne, Canada’s coach, said xQc is still eligible.
Blizzard should ban him on sight on any account like what happened to that LoL player called Tyler1.

While I agree he is a popular streamer, I don’t think all those viewers will be so upset they won’t watch the OWWC. Most of them are probably fans of other players, and I don’t think they’ll stop watching because xQc won’t be there.
But what do I know. Maybe all his fans are superhardcorenuthugger fans and will start a petition to ensure he plays.
What bothers me is he’s going to ignore the ban and play on one of his alt accounts anyway.
He was banned for bantering with his friends in game chat. Other people who don’t know him then proceed to report him for abusive chat.
I’m still not convinced that this wasn’t planned by Blizz as a direct attack on him.
A petition that will go nowhere because petitions never solve anything.
You say that, but I can guarentee that a good majority won’t watch just out of spite.
This all seems par for the course for xQc. The guy’s a horrible person, and this is certainly not an isolated incident.
Jayne (team Canada’s coach) says his suspension will not affect his chances of being in the world cup. xQc will still play,
Lol. C’mon.
Anyone who has watched his stream knows he teeters on that line of toxic/entertaining.
The amount of players he has insulted on his streams in front of thousands of people is easily 10k people.

Just so we’re clear, that tweet says he assumes it won’t affect his World Cup status.
I imagine he’s right, but that tweet is just an assumption, not exact knowledge of the events.

I think xQc have to stay out of the World Cup because of that suspension. Dafran got a suspension before WC, and got kicked from it. Fair’s fair.
Tyler1 had to earn his spot back into LoL, and did so two years later.
He does, but they can’t ban him for stuff he says on stream, only the stuff he says/does in game chat.
And I would think anyone who plays with him knows that the toxicity is part of his personality and character.
He is currently one of if not the most watched streamer in overwatch and consistently averages around 10k viewers. I’m sure his gaming career is not in jeopardy.
Yeah but xQc doesn’t abuse game mechanics, make it look like beeing a troll in comp matches a cool thing or throw his pro competitive games.
