Yeah I see it too. Lots of ximmers this season but I figured they would be out with full force with the rank reset. All we can do is wait for the inevitable hammer. When it finally sings the angels in heaven will rejoice

Smurf accounts aren’t going anywhere in Overwatch. It’s been an issue since 2019-2020 and Blizzard has never truly fixed the problem. They tried with the Phone number requirement when OW2 started but, that went away after 6 months, at least on console. They don’t care to fix it no matter how many people complain unfortunately.
XIM players use KB+M with aim-assist, thereby granting them a soft aim-bot intended for controllers only. They are not smurfs using a new account to artificially lower their ELO’s… they are just plain cheaters.

Oh gotcha ya. My bad. Is it even possible to have cheats or aimbot on console or is it specific to PC?
The aim assist combined with KBM is like an aimbot. Other than that I don’t think you can cheat
I guess I’m clueless and I apologize, what is KBM?

People buy adapters that I guess plug into the console controller, and the console then thinks they’re using a controller, but they’re really using a keyboard while also keeping aim assist playing against people on controller. Kinda lame.

I have only played 10 or so competitive games, but have to agree with the uptick in XiM players.
Search the forms for XiM and K ey Board and Mouse on console if you’d like to see past posts on the matter.
Ximmers have destroyed console gaming. I never liked PC, as I like to sit back when I play games which you can’t really do with a keyboard. Ximming isn’t really a blizzard issue, but a console one. Super unfortunate. Ximmers are the lowest forms of human life

Yea I recently built a PC with a GPU my brother gifted me, but I work at a desk all day. I don’t want to come home and sit at another computer. Plus my wife spent too much money on this nice couch.

Console is a total disgrace, there’s cheaters in almost every other game. Blizzard is brain dead and never does anything about reports. I detest this game
How are you console guys doing now that Ximmers can kill you even faster than before?
Must feel great dealing with legal cheaters on a daily basis.

Dude, not gonna lie….
It’s horrible. Just….horrible.
But I do really love this game. Best shooter ever. But yes.
Every other game I have as Tank has at least one ximmer or one that tries to hide it.
Blizzard has abandoned us and at this point, and I don’t think they’ll do anything about it. Sure we got those Top players banned for ximming but those are high rank comp players, they don’t care about us silver players who can’t get out because of this.
