XIM Is Ruining Overwatch and Reports Do Nothing!

I’ve been seeing the same player for months (nickname looks like a smiley made of symbols), and it’s obvious they are using MNK/XIM cheats. Their movement pattern is always the same: quick forward-back-left-right strafes, perfect diagonals, and inhuman aim assist that feels almost like an aimbot.

Replay code: TM1649 – check it yourself and tell me this looks fair.

And this is just ONE of these cheaters. There are hundreds of players doing the exact same thing every single day.

In other games like Valorant and Marvel Rivals, cheaters like this are banned almost instantly.

Meanwhile, in Overwatch, reports feel completely useless. This player has been ruining matches for months and nothing happens.

Instead of fixing the problem, Blizzard keeps releasing new 3300-coin skins for Mercy while MNK/XIM users keep boosting themselves with zero consequences.

Because of these cheaters, many of my friends have already uninstalled Overwatch. I’m playing way less myself, and honestly, I feel like I’m close to uninstalling too — because right now the game brings nothing but frustration.

When will Blizzard actually address MNK/XIM cheaters?

And why is there no console ID ban system in Overwatch like other games have? Account bans do nothing when these players can just create a new account in minutes.

Does anyone else experience this as often as I do?

When you report you’ll get a message X days later saying “we took care of it. Thank you for reporting”.

They didn’t take care of it. It was just easier to program the message than a real report system.

I don’t think there are nearly as many ximmers as people think, and I don’t think the ones there are actually have a big advantage. Aim can’t carry you in this game, and they’re sacrificing the superior movement ability if a controller just for better aim.

I’ve played at top ranks on console since launch and have only seen a handful of matches where I felt really oppressed by a ximmer, but that was mostly because my team wouldn’t swap to deal with them. They’re usually easily shut down since all they can do is aim. Their actual skill and game knowledge is usually lower.

I never get anything like that in my games

It’s amazing isn’t it? The cheater kids really have denial down to an art. Gaslighting and doing anything they can to have it seem like their precious cheats are virtually non existent.

It is truly that bad now. The cheater kids plan to keep it that way as long as they can.

Perhaps it’s forever Cheaterwatch 2 now.

Who would have thought the game just isn’t fun when you play cheaters.

if you have the players console name like psn or xbox you can report them on that as well as sony and microsoft both are against xim

Unfortunately, that doesn’t work. They can only get banned if they use obscene language in the general chat or in private messages.

It’s a free ride to Diamond

PC movement is significantly better because it can actually use the fact that there’s no movement acceleration in the game.

The topic of cheaters is taboo. I have made post after post and I think it comes down to so many people use soft and hard cheats that they are complacent. Wins almost seem to hinge on who has the better cheaters on their team.

In QP you notice them here and there. I only play comp when the Drives are available and I already know it’s going to be an excruciating. :sob:

I ran into one of those in quick play while playing with console friends recently. It was an obviously fresh account with inhuman aim, achieving something like 20k damage in 5 minutes. Pre-aiming behind cover, snapping to targets, and so on. They even have a Mercy duo, who was not on a fresh account, that was hard pocketing them the entire game. The fun part was that we ran into them the next game and repeated the whole process.

Still waiting for them to get actioned.

Cheater are really out there and the number keep increasing more and more everyday. Right now I meet cheater like almost every match especially in late night on 5vs5.

Spoken like a ximmer that doesn’t want to get caught.

The fact that I sometimes get accused of ximming is how I know people aren’t good at identifying it. My aim is decent since I’m master+ on every role, but I’m pretty average compared to other players at that level. It just makes me laugh when I, an outspoken controller warrior of all people, gets accused of it.

I literally just got beat by a guy that is live streaming on twitch, even advertised his twitch in chat after he practically spinbotted my entire team on genji. Of course hes some spanish furry with 20 viewers. Oh and he runs with a hacker stack of 4 in QP 6v6.
This game is literally only for hackers now.
