Any devs have updates on this? I saw it was mentioned a while back and haven’t heard anything since. The amount of Xim players on console is soooo bad. Even when it’s sooooo obvious and you report them and the replay, nothing happens. R6 has had this technology for a while and i don’t understand why Overwatch hasn’t followed through. It’s cheating and accounts should be banned for using them.
Maybe 1 out of 500 players use xim, and that’s being generous. It’s a very very small percentage. I’d guess it is way far down their list of concerns. Hackers using third party programs on pc is a much bigger issue. Also using a xim isn’t like using a mouse on pc. It doesn’t feel the same. It feels off. Sure it works but that precision isn’t there. I’m not even sure how much of an advantage it is. Bastion and torb with aim assist in your games is a much more real problem.
nah all in your head. The 67 elim Hanzo said he wasn’t ximming.
Hanzo is just as easy to play on a controller. Again, he’s going to get way more benefits from aim assist then turning with a janky mouse
And extra benefits with aim assist plus a mouse
I don’t even notice ximmers any more. Not really since OW1
You can say it’s an advantage for hero’s that need to turn their camera quickly and often to reposition. Tracer etc. The mouse precision on xim is not good. It doesn’t feel right. It feels shaky and the reticle sort of slides. It’s not better for a lot of heroes. Junk rat with aim assist is a huge issue on console and has been since day 1.
I dunno what rank you play in, but masters/GM on US East has a blatant Xim user every 2-3 games. It’s higher than you think.
its being sold at a certain popular video game retail chain outlet , which really infuriates me to see two pieces of well-known cheating devices being sold at these places.
I am HOPING blizzard sues the living (redacted) outta them for this. because publishers need to!
It’s unbelievably bad. My favorite part is when Blizzard does absolutely nothing about it. I almost never get a confirmation that action was taken
