Xbox series X Elite controller V2 disconnects during matches only on overwatch 2. Just posting hoping someone from blizzard sees and can hopefully resolve the issue. Temporary fix : plug in the controller to the series x. Thanks for your time!

I am on xbox series x and the controller randomly disconnects for me as well. I have to power the controller off and on to get it working. Happened to me in the second beta as well.

Sadly it wont let me power down my controller or do anything at all. I wiuld disconnect my battery but its built in so im literally stuck and will ultimately get timed out of comp matches making me look like a leaver and be punished as well. Its annoying but its a new game so its all good i just hope they recognize and fix it
I just posted something very similar on reddit here.
Do you have a chat headset adapter as well? One it finally started working without doing anything, but when I lose control I disconnect the chat headset adapter and plug it back in and i’ll get control again.
The issue here. It never happens when I am solo queing, but happens when on parties and having a headset connected.
Thank you for the temporary fix, it will be very annoying to do so, but at least it will not stop on my Competitive games. It seems this is becoming a big issue, and losing control of a character like that I feel is serious
