Xbox Series fps drop

Hello, I’m playing on Xbox Series S in performance mode, but after one game the fps drops from 120 to 80, this problem has been since the release of the game, when should I wait for a fix? I also asked my friends about this problem, there is no problem on the PS5, and the same problem on the Xbox Series X.

I play on xbox series x same problem as you since the release of overwatch 2 big frame loss per second after 2 or 3 games but 120fps drops to 90/80fps

I don’t know if it’s the priority of the devs to optimize the xbox versions …

This is happening to me on Xbox series x since release! I have to quit the game and restart after a match to keep 120fps. It would be great if someone from blizzard acknowledged the issue so we can at least find a little comfort that it will be resolved at some point in the future. If you stay in the game and don’t restart over time it goes down to what feels like below 20fps, unplayable and makes controls unpredictable. If you play in a group, having to ask someone to reinvite you after every match it’s a little ridiculous.

Eventually the game freezes completely and the Xbox crashes the app. This is a major issue if you play competitive, as I’ve been denied being able to reconnect to that match on restart, and if you stream this game a lot it’s really sad to get punished with a suspension of competitive for a bug that is outside of the players control.

Battle pass premium is MORE expensive than Xbox live cost per month so it feels painful to have such a big bug go unresolved for so long.

It could have something to do with players connecting, as there is a short game freeze when someone connects. Maybe there is a memory leak or it doesn’t stop the network thread of the previous player leaving that adds up over a couple matches (just an observation that could lead to a fix) the gave freeze didn’t seem to be happening on playstation or PC, only Xbox.

Okay I thought I was the only one with these issues which yeah just like what Kitten said I notice the FPS drops ever since the launch of this game and I keep on noticing that the game gets less and less smooth the more I keep on playing.

Its probably not reported much because its something that I think most people won’t notice, as it comes on incrementally the longer you play.

Still no patch to this issue, I just restart my game every 1-2 games but I also tried turning off all other apps and capture and it feels super smooth for about 2+ games before needing a restart. Also what I don’t get is if you go into deathmatch during Q it won’t affect the game. It has something to do with how a real match isn’t being offloaded from the games memory. I’d be happy to look into it overwatch if y’all wanna hire me since y’all ain’t getting it done

Thats true whenever you enter practice range the fps is fine only in the actual match these drops happen. Lets just hope for a fix soon
