At this point this is ridiculous I have had this problem for probably five or six seasons now. If you are using a wireless headset on Xbox or Xbox series X you have to turn it on before you launch OverWatch. Even then sometimes it won’t acknowledge the headset as a microphone.

Let’s see you normally play OverWatch and you launch the game if you forget to turn on your headset you will not be able to talk no matter what. Even if you plug in your mic or turn on your headset the mic will not work. Please fix this issue because I am tired of turning on my headset in a game but then realizing that the Mike won’t work anyway.

I’m on the series x now and I had the same problem since I had the Xbox one. I don’t understand how this problem carried over and how I’m having such a hard time joining gamechat. Of the dozens of games I’ve played recently I’ve only managed to connect ONCE. Other than that I’m forced to use party chat via console

Only thing I can recommend for fixing this is turning the headset on and off in the audio & music section. I have a wired headset and whenever I plug it in after I start up overwatch, it won’t register my mic and I just do that. Have you tried that?
