Hi iv narrowed this is down to this game after chatting to Xbox. The issue I’m having is when my wireless controller has a headset plugged in, I will randomly lose control of my character, be unable to move and speak to my friend’s. I have to remove the battery from the controller and restart the controller to gain control. This will last anywhere from 2 to 20 mins.
Iv tested out 2 different controllers (one brand new) and 3 different headsets.
Switching profiles to the wife’s.
Reset console (keeping apps and games)
My only solution at the moment is I need to be hardwired to the console which isn’t ideal.
Has anyone else had this issue?

Buddy you can try updating the firmware on the controller it’s a separate option alternatively u could switch mute and unmute you Xbox sound and mic then go into game and it will work
Both controllers are up to date. I don’t understand the second part. Can you explain it further so I can try it. Thanks
I have this exact same issue, multiple controllers, only happens in OW2. Allegedly, from another thread, they say it only happens with a wired headset plugged in while running the game at 120fps. I have my game running 120fps on my series X and use a wired headset.
It’s quite frustrating playing comp and randomly losing all control. I have to quickly remove my battery to get it to come back.
