I can’t play competitive for the rest of the season because of a bug on Xbox where when I get an achievement I get kicked out the game and it says I’ve been signed out and I can’t load back into the game until the game is over this has happened to me five times and now I’m banned for the rest of the season I just want to not be banned for the whole season and to get this bug fixed
This is happening to me also. I havent reached the competitive stage yet, but it is very annoying. Im looking into seeing if i can disable the achievement setting but no luck yet.
I also banned for the rest of the season Xbox Series X here.
Any updates to this? Can we get an official response?
Same thing happened to me a couple times now i currently have a 20 hour ban and can’t play competitive can someone please fix this.

There is a known bug causing achievement triggers to disconnect Overwatch 2. The Overwatch team is working to resolve it as soon as possible, but unfortunately there is no work around to prevent it.
Hey thanks for responding, is there any way you could undo the bans given to the players? I would love to continue to play competitive and not be penalized for something outta my control
I have received a 20 hour competitive ban because I am earning achievements (Xbox series x) This is frankly ridiculous that I can not play with my friends or risk getting banned for an entire season. I could risk playing once my 20 hours is up, but what happens when it happens again and I am punished for your failure to solve this issue? Or once you do fix it I am banned for an entire season because of it? I have played since the original 2016 launch and am so disappointed about the possibility of being banned for an entire season for something out of my control…
They simply do not care, if they did care they would reverse the bans but they have not, if you got a season long ban you will likely not be able to play again until next season end of story.
And they could disable the achievements as a whole for now. I’d rather be able to play the game than get imaginary accolades.
That would be the best option but yet they still haven’t bothered and they still refuse to reverse the bans so they clearly do not care

Is there a particular reason this bug has been mentioned here as a known issue, but is currently not listed in your official “known issue” list in your Bug Report forum?
I’m just trying to figure out how this all works. (Because it seems like it doesn’t for maximum effectiveness at customer outreach and communication).

It’s simple they clearly don’t care about an issue that only affects a single platform.
Xbox controller randomly disconnects or starts moving randomly on high framerate mode.
Not just that but blizzard actively doesnt care about their consumer base. Theyve been like this forever i cant even begin to describe the hundreds of times this blunder of a company has let fans down.
Exactly considering people are still banned for the entire season due to a bug that they refuse to even put in their known bug posts let alone un ban those players is beyond scummy.
Refusing to unban people, and not having it as a priority to fix is embarrassing. Easy way to not have people play your game, I currently have a 20 hour ban and am now not playing the game until they fix this. Disable achievements until it’s fixed, and unban anyone who it’s happened to. Not hard.
Yeah it’s not hard at all but it’s funny how they immediately fixed a problem with the store that was stopping them getting money from micro transactions but nothing for the people who can’t play
