I queued for Quick Play and it got to the screen that said Entering Game but it wouldn’t process, then I get an Red Box alert saying something about Leaving Games and then I was suspended from queuing yet, I was put into a backfill basically at the end and it glitched the match.
Not only 80% of my Quick Play matches are backfills because of course, why do you have it so it backfills once the match is over? What is that gonna accomplish?
It’s because of your backfills “mechanic” yet apparently it’s my fault since I “abandoned the game” when there was no game to load in and there’s also no Game Report about that match anywhere and so I get suspended?

I cant agree more with you.
The game doesn’t run the same for everyone, and there will always be a speech on “something something stop leaving games” etc. since QP is supposed to be “serious”.
Idk they just need to give it a rest. When the game is free 2 play. and the mode is not that important. It really just goes to show you that they want only one audience type here.
So much for casual recreational play where things just dont matter and its nbd. If this was “high stakes” gaming where things like RANK and no backfills were at play. 100% agree with it.
IDK they dont read the room very well. Not sure how they are marketting this game to college students considering most dorms are now outfitted with garbage Cisco Aironet access points running crummy RADIUS servers which can barely keep 3 people connected, let alone 25 or 50 jammed onto an Access point.
Same goes for the demographics in appartments where people are having to share wifi on a restricted AP because the apartment owners wont allow ISPs to string in additional lines.
Also another is so much for playing some casual overwatch while on the road and booking a hotel for the night. I use to love playing Overwatch from my hotel room while in the process taking bees to another state. When we went for honey harvest and the fields were too wet to get the forklift in for pulling honey. I’d just sit at my hotel and play Overwatch. now, forget it, and then people why I suck at playing the game now… its called lack of practice.
Eitherway, its now designed for a person with a stationary life style, and it comes off as they want overwatch to be our life, and no longer about fitting it into our lives in EQUALLY and INCLUSIVELY like it once was…

literally THIS. what’s funny is i’m home a lot, have a ps5, top tier internet, and i am STILL experiencing these bugs that fail to find server and lag me into a soup when i join matches. guess ill just be banned from competitive?? if they’re not going to fix the problem, at least remove the bans/comp point loss. at least let there be a bandaid option if they don’t care enough to actually fix it. or is bc im on console and thus less important? i just don’t get it.
love your story about the fields and bees and hotel rooms btw. felt like i was there
