As of today on 06/10/2023 while playing quickplay with friends playing two games of widow and Mercy, for reference I am a Diamond mercy Ana support player, in the middle of the match I got banned for suspected unauthorized ‘cheating’. I have been playing this game since 2017, the fact that I’ve put hundreds of hours and thousands of dollars into this game then proceeding to get banned leaves a sour taste in my mouth. I am truly lost for words and truly with blizzard would actually look into these type of things more seriously and not ban the wrong people who were just playing to have fun with friends.
Disappointment doesn’t come close to the feelings I have towards this situation. Blizzard please fix the banning system. Coming from someone who was a dedicated player since your beginning days. After sending in support tickets all I can do is hope I can get my account back

I was falsely banned too today while playing Quickplay. Me and my girlfriend was just playing and all sudden I got kicked and it said I was banned. I been playing overwatch sense overwatch 1. I have a lot of hours and only play quick play I’m really just a causal player over all my battle net is kindanotryin#1971

same happend to me just now , already made a post about it , a automated bot is banning a bunch of people for no reason , idk if this does anything but we need to speak up and hopefully Blizzard does something about this

I got an email an hour and a half ago stating I was banned from the game, after playing some Quick Play earlier today with a friend. I have my OW account since OW1 too, been playing since the open beta until today, and while I know that this is something every cheater says, I’ve never cheated in OW. I haven’t touched competitive for over two seasons now, and I love this game and Blizzard and have no reason to ruin that by cheating in quick play.
I sent a ticket, but I’m afraid that it might seem like yet another cheater who tries to defend their actions by claiming they didn’t cheat, but I’m sure that no one else has access to my account or PC, and have no cheating programs on my PC or any other device, for any game.

Its happening to a lot to people, I got instantly permanently banned and in the email it just says I’ve broken the code of conduct without mentioning what’s been broken
i was also banned this morning. Never downloaded any 3rd party programs but i do have Hyperx Ngenuity installed and it did update this morning. Others have posted having the same program install and update before the bans. hoping its something simple as that?? This sucks

People are saying HyperX NGENUITY updated today which is the cause for this problem. I hope this issue gets enough attention and that we get our accounts back.

Same here, banned for hacks, had account since 2017 and have HyperX software for my headset.

I also have this program and I did end up getting my account back, I got an email this evening.
I am here again to update, this evening I got an email from Blizzard stating and I quote
" After performing an additional review of the evidence considered in this action, we determined that this account closure was an error. We are reopening the license for play, and hope you will accept our sincere apologies for the mistake. "
After reading some later comments stating about the issue with HyperX NGENUITY software, which I do have for my headset. I am happy to hear that I was not the only one having this issue and hope everyone else who got this wrongfully banning gets their accounts back too like me.
