Comp CTF top500 rewards missing?

I ended at rank 396 for comp CTF and only got rewards for getting Diamond instead of the top500 rewards, how is that possible? It shows on my profile season ending at ranked 396 with the GM logo (which was Diamond) so shouldn’t it give the top500 comp CTF rewards instead? imgur.com/a/LxVFC3H

I think what’s happening is Blizzard “completes” any games you may have missed from your previous 7 wins and gives you a rank based on that. I was gold 3 when the season ended with 1 win game not there. When I got my rewards, it said I was gold 4 and deranked me to silver 2 for the rank decay. It’s a stupid system that should be sorted out

I also have this issue. I was in Diamond 4 season 2 and was expecting to get my Diamond Challenger title after the season ended, but I received absolutely nothing. This is so frustrating, considering I was anticipating it. Overwatch’s rank system is an absolute joke

I had the same issues. I only got rewards for gold but I was platinum as a healer. Beyond aggravating to only get half the amount of comp points I was expecting.

Same. Solo q’d to D5 as support and got p1 rewards. Now it doesn’t even show my ranks or season highs in the previous seasons…

So I ended season 2 in D5 on dps, also played 4 games with final score of 2-2. Logged in overwatch and received rewards for Plat 1 instead of Diamond 5. I really wanted the “Diamond challenger” title, but I guess now I won’t have it for another 2 month.

What’s even stranger, I looked at leaderboard and I still have Diamond 5 there, so my final rating is Diamond 5 too.

This is expected behavior.

Whenever the season ends, your final rank gets calculated. As an extreme example, if you were Gold 5 and lost 12 games in a row, you’re still shown as Gold 5. But you’re actually 300 SR below that, Silver 3. This is the rank you’ll get rewards for when the season ends. Your case is probably more of an edge case because you went 2-2. So you could’ve been barely D5 and the 2 wins and 2 losses gave you like -5 SR in total which put you into P1.

The leaderboard could well just show the pre-end rank. Flats, a content creator, had an end-season rank of 490 shown or something, and his leaderboard rank was still like 380.
I do wonder, though, what leaderboard shows Diamond players?

Your explanation makes sense but it’s so unfair, cuz we can’t see it… or Atleast reward for the highest reached. I was in masters 5, lost 2 games and didn’t play any matches after that… says I am diamond 1, and rewarded me for that. I grinded for nothing basically

Fully agreed! Basing it on the highest right at the end incentivizes not playing once you reached 'insert rank’5, or at least it makes people anxious to play. It is extremely stupid to do it this way and I honestly have no idea why they didn’t change it yet.

I thought this would be an universal bug but it seems like it is an intentional background update and not decay? I hit M5 mid-Jan and went 5-2 around the same time and didn’t rank at all afterwards. I still got rewards for being Masters.

To Apotzen: Every competitive season since around Season 18 of Overwatch 1 has allowed diamond players to be on the leaderboards, including Seasons 1 and 2 of Overwatch 2. The only exception to this is the final season of Overwatch 1, Season 36, in which all diamond players were removed from the leaderboards and were denied all Top 500 rewards. I have created a comprehensive post regarding this and almost all other competitive bugs since Season 34 linked above. Please respond to this thread with your own issues and create your own posts so that I can add them to the list and hopefully we can get these issues resolved.

This is just so incredibly and painfully frustrating. Not only did I not receive my Top 500 icon from competitive CTF this season, but the career profile stats also removed the proof of me hitting Top 500 in open queue in Season 36 as well. We need to make our voices heard and make the devs give us the rewards we earned.

I’m missing my top 500 tittle for CTF. I got the diamond tittle instead of top 500. I checked the leader boards and it shows in top 500 and it also shows on my profile. They just didn’t give me the tittle
