Support: No real strong counters, but soft counters like Zen, Brig, Ana.
Try these before you torch and pitchfork Hammond.

Yeah, but the problem is swapping to any of these heroes yourself is usually not enough to stop him. You need multiple swaps to control Ball now, and that’s just not okay.

Why is sombra not listed as a counter?
I’d argue she’s still a great counter for the hamster.
I’m happy Hammonds are in my games. I was getting sick of seeing Ram and Orisa all the time.

Maybe season 1 sombra but sombras current hack isn’t going to help at all

You don’t counter ball trying to solo him, you don’t counter any tank like that, it’s just dumb
You need teamwork, like any other tank
also suzu. you can suzu piledrivers which is a lot of value, though that does start to strain suzu since you need it for a lot of things
As of now ball is in every other game for me. Getting a little annoying.
He is one of the most fun tanks, but one of the hardest too. People didn’t pick him because they were afraid of trolling the game and being called out, now that they see a chance of playing him without being called trash they are going at it
I know. I’ve mained him in OW2 out her then sym. But he was balanced prior to this patch. And because he’s strong so high in the ranks the trickle effect will take control and everyone will play it.
Now we gotta wait and see what the meta turns out to be, it can be ball or a whole another comp that no one knows about but everyone will start to copy
Sorry, but this list kind of sucks. Here’s a better one:
Tanks: Orisa, Zarya, Roadhog (when he’s not in the dumpster)
DPS: Bastion!!! (people sleep on this one, but Bastion will 100% ruin Ball’s day, since Ball has no way of mitigating the insane damage + Ball’s hitbox is super easy to land that spread against), Sombra (is still fabulous, her disruption hurts, revealing him permenantly for the entire enemy team ruins any chance of taking flank routes, and her damage is very good at murdering him), Reaper, Mei (but not for the slow, the wall is just really good at messing him up), Rat (if the ball is stupid, if not, pick someone else).
Support: Zen (Discord is an absolute menace. If your team can keep you alive, discord will 100% force the ball to switch), Ana (sleep is dang easy to land on Ball and can basically shut down any attempts at a backline dive), Lucio (idk how you left this one out. Boop the ball out of the fight all day long, and you’ve basically denied almost all his value)

Bro a good zen and bastion makes life ball so miserable… I rather play ball into sombra, Lucio and ball interactions are pretty fair too
I honestly don’t think any of Ball’s interactions are “unfair,” tbh, but yeah, Bastion is the counter that people just don’t get. Ball is 100% the worst tank in the game to fight a Bastion. I’d rather literally anyone else.
I think ball is the most fair tank in this game, i don’t think he is really bad or OP
Of course i can be biased, i spend most of my time playing him. But when i look at him logically and compare him at other tanks, i can’t understand why a ball meta of some sort would be bad at all
It takes him out of ball form which means sombra can ruin every single engage he tries to make. Sombra to ball is the hardest counter that exists in the game.

You will be not so happy when you will see only fatty hamster in all games instead of the robotic horse or a depressed omniac.
get a sombra, a sigma (for the stun and u can shield pile), then a reaper or cass or mei, then ana and zen. then he swaps. maybe?
