“Wrecking ball is throwing!” 🤔

Feelsbad when putting in an absolute shift with an off meta hero (Hammond).

  • Kept killing and pressuring the enemy widow who happens to keeps getting double kills on our squishies.

  • Spawnkill the godlike enemy mccree 3 times so we can move payload further and stagger them.

  • Constantly knocking their Orisa and hog out of position so our team can follow up.

  • regularly bumping through their squad and make them all turn around to try and deal with me

  • finishing off plenty of enemies with grapple and setting up lots of kills with piledriver

  • Won us at least 3 fights with minefield.

  • Gold Elims and damage AND obj kills

but ALLLLL game I had to put up with “wrecking ball switch” and “wrecking ball is throwing” etc by 2-3 team mates and when we lose… “thanks Hammond” lol. IMO we lost cus their DPS was MUCH better than ours but I’m not about the blame game.

This is not the first time I’ve been the scapegoat purely based on my hero choice. Choosing to ignore everything I’m actually doing in-game and just care about who I’m playing. Toooo many people on this game are narrow minded and ignorant (and toxic) and spend too much time tryna find some1 to blame rather than focusing on their own gameplay

public scoreboards would be great

I be happy to have a Hammond on my team that goes for the Widow putting pressure on the team/healers because noone else will try to even get her.

Alot hate off meta heroes and it seems alot tend to hate on Hammond and have a mind-set he is nothing but a feeder for enemy ult due to his size, well so does D.va and Hog. Each tank has their own way to help the team and Hammond is good for causing trouble and trying to split the enemy up.

OW community or any multiplayer in general will never take the blame, they will always blame others even if the one they blame carried them. Jerk move but it is what it is, ignore, move on and hope you get them on the enemy team to focus and destroy until they go crying to their mother.

Didn’t read your post - mute voice chat/text chat problem solved.

“They see me rollin, they hatin.” - playing the hamster, in a nutshell.

Isnt this entire post about it being someone elses fault that you lost?

Considering he summed up something which happens far too often, maybe it’s about certain hero picks being entirely blamed simply for being that hero?

Still, the same goes for everyone else, if you think you cant be blamed for a loss because you think you played well, you cant blame others for a loss either, unless there was a 100% clear line to who was the reason the game was lost.

Tbh rarely i’ve seen a good hammond player in plat, but i see more hammonds diving into the middle of the enemy team and then get CC’d into oblivion, actually feeding then rinse and repeat and they get angry when you ask them to swap cause its not working

This, also medals mean nothing when you can get the count for kills just by getting the final shot even if someone else did all the work.
Easy to do most damage with some heroes just by ulting and let them get very far ahead in the medal system due to it.
So anyone could ult and then say, I HAVE GOLD DAMAGE, I AM CARRYING YOU FOOLS because of it.

He didn’t blame anyone for the loss but ranted about how players tend to blame others simply because of their hero choice. (that’s exactly what he’s saying, stop blaming other and start focusing on your own gameplay)

If you actually read it you easily realize it’s not.

Yep. I feel you. I don’t know your rank but most ranks don’t know how to play without a shield. So if I go Hammond and the other tank doesn’t shield, I take the brunt of the “switch” requests, even when winning.

My team fails to notice how I zone the enemy out with my ult so we could push the payload 10 meters and secure the next checkpoint because I don’t have a barrier.

I know when I’m not being effective, and I switch.

Anything “I” dont like is throwing. Got the memo years ago.

This on its own is blaming, even when he says hes not blaming, saying this alone says that hes saying that the enemies dps was better than theirs, making it the dps fault.

Hammond’s a tank i never want to see in my team comp.
i need shields when i play symmetra and he brings none, same with roadhog.

i think he needs some changes but idk i don’t play him.

If you played him, you wouldn’t think he needs changes. If he isn’t countered by more than one enemy, he is the hardest hero in the game to kill.

Nice :+1:

No, it’s clearly not. Did u struggle reading it?

Yh there’s lots of bad Hammonds unfortunately… I ain’t 1 tho. Btw I’m playing at 3400sr

At no point did I put my mic in and state we was losing cus our dps suck. Instead I just played the game and quietly came to the conclusion that both their dps were constantly popping off whilst ours were not. That’s not blaming, that’s just me being aware of what’s actually happening in game rather than caring about hero choices.

Cool, cheers then bro

Blaming in game and blaming on the forums are different things, but still blaming. You blamed the dps on the forums right here, which is still blaming them.
