Absolutelly yes. OW is game I always come back to. OW is game which connects you with your random team much more than any other can, OW prefers quality over quantity, OW can run I think 200fps on GTX1650, OW has absolutelly 0 input lag, OW has fun for years because of diversity of heroes same as diversity of people playing it (I mean their genders)…
This game is a legend, it was a legend for me since I watched first trailer, I just knew this game is a bomb and I built my PC just for playing OW few years after release when I finally could afford it. OW isnt money in marketing, its money and hard work put into game.
What they have achieved is phenomenal, balancing this diverse heroes in FPS game while adding new ones and not even breaking game while updating it.
Hands down, Blizzard really did well here, this game will always will be a legend of video gaming industry even after 100 years.
It was, it just stopped being that sometime around 2018.

I’ve never thought it was honestly. The raw gunplay is… Unsatisfying?
I still like OW, it scratches an itch I can’t scratch otherwise, and I generally have fun, but as far as “shoot/deal damage=happy brain” all Borderlands games I’ve played beat OW in that regard.
Paladins beat it too when I played that.
But I can’t say it matters, OW got more playtime then those four.

I stopped being the best the day it decided certain heroes were to be regulated to the backend and others were allowed to be OP for years on end. Playing favorites is what killed this game.
Nearly every person came to OW for different reasons and has different and unique cast of heroes they consider their mains, ignoring that is how Blizz ruined OW.

It’s hard to regularly play any other shooter besides Overwatch, so naturally I can’t wait for Overwatch 2
It is a hybrid game, the fact that it is not a pure fps is the reason most people still play. There is nothing else that can compare to it.

No, but dang, it sure felt like it was for along time.
Man, it was for me. It was my dream game. A moba/MMO inspired FPS with colorful and stylized cartoony characters, but a surprisingly serious story. But not serious enough to keep from letting the characters do fun, silly stuff. It was fantastic.
It directly inspired me to work on my own projects, and for that I’ll always be grateful. BUT, that’s not enough for me to ignore the fact that OW as really gone to the dogs.
Tanks that can’t tank, Damage heroes are over valued, supports are just kinda boring (but not problematic, and I wouldn’t change them. They’re close to perfect), and more really ruined this game for me.
They literally gutted my modes, ruined my characters; its like they’re trying to muscle me out. Unlike other games that I just sorta stopped caring about, OW really hurt to see go down.

Its 1 of 4 that hooked me for extended time. Starwars battlefront (original) ps2, gears of war 1, titan fall, overwatch. Ive played other shooters cod, battlefield apex etc… in between but these are all games that were insanely fun and huge time sucks for me.
One of best games I have played and I have played alot of them.
The game is good, development is a problem, balancing team is a problem, trying to please both casuals and pros is a problem. That is why I can’t say this game is just bad, It could have been much better, at least not as dead as we have it now.
Riot, pls buy overwatch, I beg you. I know you don’t need it.

I don’t know, I think it isn’t but I have a hard time nailing down a better one.
Which means it is pretty damn good.
Good god no. This is not only the worst fps I’ve ever played but one of the worst games in general I’ve ever played. Even the crappy doom clones from the 90’s are leagues better than this garbage. Hell I’d rather play doom itself on a calculator than this trash ever again.

Like Spiderman said about Footloose, it never was.
From that tight window of launch until they changed the barrier of playing competitive with your friends it was on its way to be the best party game multiplayer of all times.
But to be a good multiplayer means you have to consistently be able to play with your friends.
They chose to not focus on that and it was a less and less good experience trying to game with a full stack of friends.
We all gravitated over better multiplayers like Monster Hunter to have fun killing things together.

So based on player’s opinions? Well, for my own, honestly, Yes. I’d still say that. Valorant and Apex Legends r just terrible overall. Paladins is a good game, but both that game and OW have their ups and downs, the downs of Paladins, I feel, is a bit more heavy in my opinion. Destiny 2 is gr8, but I find it easier to play with my little bro in OW compared to Destiny 2. CoD is strange, but enjoyable. My biggest problematic shooter easily being Valorant, personally.
Yes, tons of people enjoy Valorant, but I checked out Valorant, and had a few issues based on what I know. For 1, the Rank system is just… ugly. It’s not very well-designed. For 2nd, I always felt like when it came to shooters you can do 1 of 2 types of shooters that would make sense to my mind: OW style (OW, OW2, Paladins, etc.) Then Destiny Style. (Destiny 2, Destiny, CoD, etc.) Valorant is neither type. It’s a half-form of the OW style. The set-ups I’m talking about is either Traditional, Basic Shooters, which is Destiny 2, CoD, and others, Or the set-up of Tank, DPS and Healz type of deal, OW, Paladins, etc.
I’d like to think 1 of 2 systems the shooter game should operate. If u think about it, Valorant has only Healz and DPS. Tanks to protect the team? Valorant said “No need to have protection. No need to have some1 lead the charge. Just Revel in Chaos!” Which doesn’t sit well with me. If ur doing a partial mix of RPG and Shooter, like OW or Paladins, at least have something from the basic 3, and if u wanna add more, do so at ur own will. The 3 roles of DPS, Healz and Tanks r just too vital to just, chop 1 of the main 3 roles out of existence, and not have a replacement.
Ok, don’t get me wrong: U can just simply use ur surroundings and walls and such to protect urself, but by that point, u can just play CoD or something for that style of play, and on top of that, it doesn’t help with the fact that nobody is able to lead the charge when u and ur team goes to attack. If some1 mentions u can just lead the charge as a DPS or Healz, I think u missed my point when I said “lead the charge,” cuz there’s a difference between having a leader/strategist in ur group and in-game being able to protect ur team. Valorant doesn’t give you the types of character meant to protect their teams from harm, but anybody can, in theory, get a person who can just be a leader/strategist for ur group. Like, who’s gonna be the person to protect u when harm comes? Who’s gonna be there when u r planning to attack? When ur attacking, Who is going to be in the front? In Valorant, I fail to see the answers to these questions like I can clearly and obviously see the answers for Paladins and OW/OW2. There’s a lot more I can say to my thoughts and opinions of Valorant, but I think I have talked enough Valorant for today.
So, in my mind, there has to be a system that makes sense. OW has a system that works. Paladins borrows a similar idea of a system, but is still able to make it their own unique system. CoD defined their system. Destiny/Destiny 2 has, again, a similar system to that of CoD, while going their own route to make their system work. Halo, same thing as Cod/Destiny/Destiny 2 chatter I’ve been saying. Apex and Valorant? They run systems that do not wrap around my head and make sense to me just yet. (tbh, I don’t think I’ll ever understand Valorant)
Now, let me wrap things up and define OW as my personal superior game. I feel OW has the easiest time to be able to Team up with people and has the easiest time playing solo. It’s characters automatically give u different playstyles that u can consistently use at ur own personal will. (where as in some, like Fortnite, it’s not exactly given to you: U have to find the weaponery)
I also feel like OW has some of the most uniquely designed Shooters out there. I mean, What shooter Game gives u the ability to Ressurect another person? Not every Shooter gives u that option. And what design in any game can relate to D.va? I’ve never seen anything else like it except for OW. How about just becoming a Machine Gun urself? Like, to literally Become the weapon urself? Don’t think u’ll find a lot out there like that. How about Rein’s style of gameplay overall? The only thing I can think of that is similar is a couple of characters in Paladins, but otherwise? Dunno. I even enjoy the lore and story of the universe of OW, where I’d look at other shooter game’s lore, and would, for a ton of em, roll my eyes on the lore.
That should be enough information to solidify my beliefs, and even if others dislike my thoughts, Hey, It’s just my opinion. Everybody will have their own different opinions. Some will hate OW for eternity. Some will feel like OW is a decent shooter. Some will think it’s the Best Shooter Game out there. It all depends on how u, personally, feel. I just simply showcased my opinion and explained y I feel the way I feel. I’m not going around, disproving any1’s opinions. Cause it’s just how u feel. It’s something I cannot disprove is How Others Feel. How do I prove some1 else’s feelings r wrong? U can’t. So, as I leave ur opinions alone, plz do the same 4 mine, and have a good day.
