The general consensus from the community is that recent mythic skins do not feel very mythic. Rather they feel like legendaries with extra options.
However could this be rectified if mythic skins where made flasher overall? Such as adding more gold, diamonds and sparkles? Almost along the lines of LoL’s mythic skins.

Moira and Mercy’s mythics are some of the best. They main difference for me is visual effects altering the way abilities look.

Yea this, more visual effects are always cool.

They are already flashy, it just the fomo is gone now, and you get whatever you want, just getting the battlepass.
Which would mean a decrease in the quality of skins?

I would appreciate if they designed better customization. The only mythics I enjoy are M. Bison Sigma and Ancient Caller Moira. Not only that, but I never change anything about either of them because the options are not compelling. The whole point is that you can mix and match to create your own skin. You can barely do that as of now. More sparkles will not fix that problem.
They need better themes. For instance, why was Junkerqueen Zeus? What about Zeus allows you to make a diverse set of skins? Nothing. Kiriko’s was much better with Amaterasu, Tsukuyomi, and Susanoo. At least thematically.
I honestly do not care about the skin design as much as the sound design and effects, which they have been doing an alright job at. I wish they pushed the envelope a touch more, but as someone pointed out, these skins are technically $4. That’s probably why they are a bit lazy with them. They make WAY more money from selling an epic Kiriko skin for legendary cost.

They feel Mythic to me!
I will say, i love the older All-Star Skins. They are so awesome! I wish those types would come back again

^ This.
I honestly do not know why the devs decided to make Mythic Weapons, when that should be embedded into the mythic skin

I would like them to be less flashy, but add other things. Some change the voice, that is a good way of going about it. Change the way the weapons sound, change the visual effects.
Doing the jrpg thing of adding a bunch of belts and spikes and neon lights, not my bag.
… eeeeeh…
Maybe if others could turn them off on their own screens?
After a point like… the disco ball entering your vision every couple seconds is overstimulating at best.
Not to mention the flashier it gets the more taxing it is on those with lower end equipment.
Honestly I think a problem I have with mythics is not that they’re too flashy, but they’re all flashy in the same way

I had an all mythic skin team the other day. Sig, Ashe, Genji, Kiriko, Mercy. I was Sig.
We won. COINCIDENCE NOT AT ALL?!?
Breaking News Thread: Blizz rigs matches in favor of mythic skin players.
… not totally outlandish for this forum

Its like a secret cheat code: everyone on the team has to have their Mythic skin equipped for the whole match!
Im remembering this one for later!

Yeah, compare Orisa’s Mythic to Kiriko or Genji’s… clearly, the early ones were uniformly better.

It would be nice if the weapons would be diamond like in COD. Black Ops 3 had the best diamond weapons. The more kills you got, the diamonds would change colors.
I think the mythic skins are fine, but Blizz should take it a step further and let players use the weapons for those mythics on to other skins for that hero like Rose Gold Pink Mercy.
For the 1% of players who didn’t buy it, the Rose Gold version lets you use Mercy’s staff and pistol for that skin on any other skin she has. So you can be using the Rose Gold staff on the Witch skin. It’s a really cool way to customize older skins. That’s a first ever feature unless I forgot something and I think mythic skins should allow this too.
That would be a game changer with skins in general, and IMO give mythics much more value.

It’s obvious. More money.
I agree they should be included with the mythic skin to make them feel…well…actually mythic? Rather than a legendary “plus”.
I would gladly pay a small amount extra for the battle pass if it means going forward all mythics come with their own mythic weapon included, but that’s not greedy enough, so charging separately for both is the Blizzard way.

The mythic skins peaked with the very first one, kind of sad really
Despite the name ‘Mythic’, I like the more realistic (to the Overwatch universe, before someone tries to be pedantic) skins. So far the only Mythic I really like is Mercy’s because that’s exactly what it is. Personally I’m not interested in the fantastical skins with glowing eyes, fire for hair, etc.
Like others have said, what makes a Mythic good is the unique visual and audio effects during gameplay.
