I know I’m not a very good Widow and would like to improve that. I recorded a quickplay match that I had. I realize my positioning is probably not the best as I don’t know this new map very well. And I usually try more for body shots since I’m extraordinarily bad at getting headshots. If anyone has any advice after watching the video please post here! Thanks.
Also a little info on my peripherals/setup. I’m using a Logitech G900 mouse, Roccat Isku Keyboard with ghosting prevention. Mouse settings 1600 DPI, mouse acceleration on, 1000hz polling rate, 15 sensitivity in-game.

Not the best Widow either, but you seem to be switching targets a lot, even if they’re still in your sight. The Mei for example, you hit a few times and each time you suddenly focus a turret or something else. My suggestion is to first start on that.
Your sens raises red flags. It is too high. Some people can play widow with that high of a sens, but they are extremely rare, so rare it’s safe to assume it is in fact too high.
I will go ahead on a limb and assume you’re good at flicking, but wildly inconsistent and have troubles hitting almost stationary targets (hits that shoulds be easy are hard for you).
15x 1600 dpi = 24.000 edpi which is anywhere between 4-6 times higher than the average “pro”.
edit: after watching the video, I will say that it feels like you’re playing on a very small mouse pad.
Honestly, no advice given here is going to be better than just grinding Widow HS lobbies in the custom games section.
If you keep at it regularly and forget about your score, I guarantee you will see improvement.
Most of what I’m seeing in your clip is you are too slow, maybe not for your ELO but thats not the point here, you want to be a good widow, not just good enough.
You need to train yourself to be faster, recognise opportunities and commit to them immediately. In order to do that, you need to build the muscle memory that will allow you to be confident in your mouse movements rather than being careful and tentative.
Looking at your mouse settings, your sensitivity is ridiculously high.
This is probably a lot to do with why you’re slow, you’re having to try so hard not to overaim, it’s also why you’re not confident at clicking heads, with that sense its way way way too easy to over-adjust.
What I consider a high sens would be:
3 in game sens
1600 dpi
But bear in mind i’m mostly an arm aimer.
I play at 3.3 igs, 1000 dpi and a lot of arm aimers might say thats too high.
Even if you’re a wrist aimer I’d recommend lowering your in game sens to 5 or below, it should feel slow, and thats good, use that to build your muscle memory, you’ll find that later ( 2 weeks to a month of 6 hours a week in widow HS) you can raise your sensitivity if need be and play just as well if not better.
I will try lowering it. However even where I’m at with my current settings it feels slow.
