So ye, I was was wondering… Would Baptiste be more fun if his Ult/Matrix and Immortality Field were switched?
It really seems like that’s how they should’ve been in the first place tbh.

His… ult is pretty tide turning when put in the right place though… and I haven’t noticed the IF lasting more than a couple seconds in most instances.
If they were to be switched I think they’d need some adjustments.

Well yes, there would be adjustments. It’s just the utility and their extremely stationary nature feel mismatched in their current slots.
Like invincibility? Damn, nice. Sure would be nicer if it were slightly more durable/reliable tho, amirite.
Power boost through a very specific window? Also nice, but would be nicer to use more frequently. Especially since Baptiste is only scary as a Healer-DPSer when he has his Matrix available (even with a power cut it’d be great).

Sure it would be nice but can you imagine the complaints? A skill that’s hard to get rid of and outright denies the possibility of kills?

You could say the same for immortality field though, but the difference imo is that its a lot easier to feel like you’ve wasted Matrix than field.

For the millionth time, no. Immo field would be hands down the worst ult in the game, as opposed to amp matrix, which is merely a strong contender.

Yes. In fact, that already happened, which is why it was nerfed to begin with.
They really should be switched. While we’re at it, Rez and Valk should be switched and adjusted on Mercy too.

I like the ultimate as it is. Putting up a wall of death is pretty fun. Wouldn’t feel as impactful if it were swapped and nerfed.

Baptiste should be more jumpy, I guess he would be more fun. No problem with Immort and Matrix.
He takes 4 shots to fulfill a squishy while Ana takes only 3, that’s also a boomer.
No. They should be switched because the one that is similar in power to an Ult is a regular ability, which LEAD to its nerfs and now feels terrible as a result, while the other is less powerful AND less interesting, and has no business being labeled an “ultimate” anything.
Amp matrix is really good though?

Though you could use Matrix without feeling like you wasted it entirely, since it’d be on cooldown.
At least with Immortality Field you KNOW it’s go time, so it’s much easier to use it properly and get value out of it.
