When away from the enemy team, by 20-30 yards their primary fire damage is reduced by 50%.
i am not a moira main, and yet a strongly disagree. she already have the lowest DPS in the game⌠at some point, people should understand that.
How does she have the lowest DPS in the game? She does the 2nd highest dps as a healer (1st disregarding zen who isnât a primary healer)
This is a weird argument. (and off the top of my head, wrong?)
She is one of the only heroâs in the game who can get two kills with one clip quite often.
Maybe her max DPS isnât the highest, but her âeffectiveâ DPS is way up there.
EDIT: ignore this comment, in my sleep deprived state I completely misread the name.
Elaborate. What happens to her healing bar if this happens? Will it be filled up at the same rate?
Also she is, according to Overbuff, the character that does the 4th worst damage per game on average. Just something to take into consideration.
she does 50 dps with her right click, thatâs the lowest dps in the game. it used to be winston who does 60 dps, but then moira came out.
Uh. Moiraâs max range is already 20m. Would this not be a buff if you extend the range to 30 yds but with reduced damage?
You canât ignore the 30 hps on her right click it makes it do up to 80 dmg.
Giving her a longer range with earlier falloff would be acceptable, it would make her a bigger pharah counter. Something like 35 at max range.
Then to make it less of a tickle make her do more damage if she is at full hp say 15 more so 65 to 10m down to 42ish at 30m.
This is a buff.
Not a nerf.
Her damage currently falls off to 0 at 21mâŚ
how does self healing 30 hps make her right click do 80 dps instead of 50??
Clearly Mercyâs beam does 60 DPS
The issue here is that similar to Genji, its highly effective DPS. Moira switches to attack mode when she sees a weakened foe. That small but effective amount of damaged needed to finish off that target is much better than lets say⌠thousands upon thousands of junkrat âtrash damageâ that doesnât get any kills.
Absolutely not. She is designed to better stand up to Genji/Tracer. That should never ever be touched. Brigitte is designed to stand up to them plus the dive tanks.
For future posters: Genji main.
Neither is Moira.
She canât primary heal because she literally has to split DPS to heal.
Her DPS is very low considering that and her ults fairly low potency.
And nope, a range change will never be accepted. The moment you touch Morias range she will become the single worst character in the game.
im a moria main, but im a kinda sad for this buff cause she is already op
Got to love when the 1.5k rated players try to chime in with some logic. I mean clearly you struggle with the mechanics to begin with.
She does on average 5% less healing then mercy who basically can only heal. And shes not a primary healer? Yea right.
I wouldnât say it is âmuch betterâ, but that the thousands of Junkrat damage and Moiraâs small but effective damage have different uses.
You have the first for big targets like tanks and barriers, and the second for small foes and finishing blows. They are effective in different scenarios.
People need to understand this about Moiraâs biotic grasp.
It has infinite ammo, thus, itâs never interrupted by having to reload.
Itâs a beam weapon, thus, unlike Soldierâs 76 full auto or Bastionâs gun, there are no little pauses in between each round. It also can not be deflected.
The biotic grasp animation does not match the hitbox. It looks like a thin beam when itâs hitbox is more the size of a sewer pipe. They animated it to give it a soft-lock on. Itâs not a hard lock on like Symmetraâs (because Symmetraâs beam can bend 180 to track someone behind her, once lock has been established) And the hitboxes on many heroes are generous, to compensate for latency and stuff.
All this combined makes her damage CONSISTENT
It is the lowest DPS in the game, at 50 DPS, comparing it to just support DPS is just stupid. If she was soloâing a squishy and her orb wasnât up, itâd take her 4 seconds of good tracking to eliminate them. Some DPS are better at eliminating her than others, but they certainly ainât mediocre Genjiâs or Tracerâs.
Iâm just saying that we canât pretend that Junkratâs average damage per game and Moiraâs average damage per game show a stark contrast of in combat effectiveness. Surgical, yet small directed damage can be just as good as large amounts of mostly inaccurate damage. The â4th lowest damage per gameâ argument has a few flaws ^.~
Is that not more concerning for Mercy who is supposed to be a dedicated healer as opposed to Moira healing too much?
Also I would argue that Mercy in most circumstances would make up for this by Resurrecting if we counted HP numbers in that regard.
