Dva is now completely unplayable. what an awful balancing decision. either balance the two platforms differently, or else compensation buff her elsewhere.

Just nerf how aim assist works for Dva on console so we can get real buffs for pc.
The baby Dva build wasn’t what I used anyway but at least it was kind of viable. They need to buff her hard in stadium.

Not really unplayable, its depends on team comp. If enemy team runs juno, ana or kiriko supports, dva can still eat a lot of heals from them. I had games where I cant heal my tank at all, dva just cover the dm on our tank for seconds, while their dps focus and kill my tank…

nothing matters in terms of what tank you choose in stadium except the enemy tank. if they run a zarya or a rein, you are going to lose. because they’re allowed to be raid bosses and you’re basically playing regular dva +power inflation to barely keep up with the tankiness of their cassidy lol. meanwhile rein is unkillable, zarya is unkillable, and orisa is just short of unkillable.
babydva made her viable, but that needed to be removed because they can’t allow dva to be fun, ever. so now she’s literally unplayable.

Well, I ruined many Rein’s gaming experience by playing fan the hammer build cree. With high fire rate+dmg+magazing perks, the spilt second rein droped his shield, I can delete him lol.If he just hold the shield down, I can delete his shield in a few seconds. If he try to charge me or my teammates, he will also get delete by my right click…Its also pretty common that I can delete Zarya and her bubble with a single right click. 10k dmg per round is pretty common with this build.

this is a tank balance thread, tanky cass is not relevant to any of this. your cass is way tankier than dva in stadium btw. dva cannot exist long enough to be any threat to rein now.

I’m not looking for arguments or toxic chats etc but this is simply incorrect.
D.va is my second strongest character (im a mercy main) and respectfully, i eat Rein and Zarya’s for breakfast. There’s a few reasons this happens:

I have a lot of practice and experience on D.va so I know what to do and when to do it (face tanking ain’t it). I consistently will check exactly what they are running and consider how to counter it after every round. If you wanna be a stadium beast you need use your brain cells.

Rein ain’t doing sheet while I’ve got a 5 second def matrix blocking his heals every fight, and using the Item that allows me to do more damage to shields. He simply falls over in spite of how strong his builds are, he cannot overcome me farming their supports and denying them any value

Zarya is easier than Rein believe it or not. Her bubbles are kinda OP if your team is brainlessly feeding her charge, but in the hypothetical “tank v tank” mindset, I absolutely sheet on Zarya’s as D.va. It’s a better match up in stadium than it is in comp without a doubt. Zarya seems OP because TEAM MATES MINDLESSLY SHOOT BUBBLES and it legit loses games, but if you have a D.va who makes it her sole job to track gravs an eat them, peel for supports, dive their supports, stay well clear of face tanking, and you will be golden.

Well, dva against rein is definally not ideal, but its not the only bad tank match up. JQ is also pretty bad against Orisa and Zarya, or Lucio+Juno. Many Stadium game outcome is very obvious at hero selection screen. The only solution is to allow hero swap, I think allowing hero swap at round 2,4 and 6 should solve most issue, after swapping hero, you lose one power in the next round as a trade off, so this discourage frequent swaping.

I nean obviously it had to go, getting mech back in 2-3 seconds there’s just no way for that to be fair, I just don’t get why they had to gut every item involved to the point of uselessness

no. just buff dva.
first, I can remech that fast in live in comp. second, yes a small nerf with gigacompensation buffs elsewhere, since she was useless outside nanodva, would have been the way to go.

If you buff Dva, in some match up dva will become extreamly op, especially with a good genji who can dive with you. The main reason why dva seems be weak in this mode is lack of dive dps hero atm.
That last point is a really interesting idea actually. I feel it should be applicable to tank players, but definitely a step in the right night direction if they are adamant on keeping the mode 5v5

As a Decent D.va player, I don’t think she is nearly as underpowered as people claim her to be.
You are very correct in saying that she is delicate in the sense that any changes to her kit could tip the balance generally speaking.
The problem is that D.va players/one tricks are so cracked on her that if she received meaningful buffs she would become hard server admin which is not healthy for the game. D.va doesn’t need a buff, she is simply a tank that requires brain cells instead of face tanking (not trying to be mean or rude towards you, just the way I generally say D.va in general)

this is not how you balance. “you have to keep her weak to keep masters level dva players in plat” is not balance. if a dva player is THAT good at her, then they will rank up and out of your rank.
i was literally higher than emongg in stadium for an ENTIRE WEEK, that’s how long he was stuck in gold in stadium. she is traaaash.

Nah I absolutely feel you with that opinion, and I think you have nailed it!
It’s just kinda hard because whenever I play D.va, the majority of the time I’m hard carrying so when people say that she is weak, it makes me feel like if she if was to be buffed, I would carry harder which isn’t ideal.
Emong is a well known streamer, I’ve seen a few of his videos and he is kinda entertaining, but I believe he isn’t that good in terms of pro play generally speaking. This is just my opinion tho so take it with a pinch of salt

As the devs already confirmed, it actually is true. D.Va has the lowest win rate in Stadium on PC. Now on console it’s a different matter, it’s the highest. But on PC she’s trash and that’s backed up by data. The difference in win rate between PC and console is astounding honestly. It is similar in non-stadium modes but it’s more exaggerated in Stadium.
I will say he’s a top 500 tank, top 100 many seasons. And D.Va is consistently one of his most played tanks. He also favors JQ and Sigma. If he’s not good then who is?
