Title. For the record everyone will say 2cp but I also want people’s opinion on KOTH/Escort/Hybrid
For me the worst are
2CP - temple of anubis. Junkrat/Widow madhouse and ofc horizon/paris
Escort - I don’t like havana bc widow but i’m on console . I don’t like gibraltar much and idk why
Hybrid - Eichenwalde 1st point is horrific but the rest of the map is great. Don’t like blizzard world much but like escort my main pet peeves are 2CP/KOTH
KOTH - ILIOS. I hate this map it’s ball/lucio/pharah land. Ilios well is complete and utter shambles, lighthouse is ok but again boops and unforgiving for low movement healers and ruins is all fun and games until Widow/Junk/Hanzo/Ashe show up. I also don’t like lijiang garden but the other 2 lijiang maps are great.

Probably gardens. There’s no way for the team to group up, since there’s 2 paths that you have to choose between at spawn and it seems nobody at my elo ever goes back once they notice the rest of the team is going the other way.
Open obectives with high ground that 80% of the roster cant even reach or a closed objective with stalling potential that you can barely shoot or stun (Stalling Lúcio is worse than Hammond)
Today I lost a game of Nepal, qued for another game, which then backfilled me into a losing game of Nepal, played another map, then qued into a Nepal game again, which I lost.
People talk about Paris being bad, this map makes me claustrophobic, and I don’t even care about right spaces!
Not to mention you can’t get Bap’s achievement if the round changes, so I’m just playing “while you wait” because I’m not losing endorsement lvl. 5 by leaving.
If i have to make an order on 2CP maps it would be:
Hanamura
Paris
HLC
Anubis
Volskaya
2-4 are very close to each other because they all have a different good and bad
Paris has very limited flank routes but most of the characters are viable on this map
HLC is basically Paris but in a close space. Very limited flank routes and open objective but aerial heroes are viable there
On Anubis characters preferring high ground are more punishable than on other maps but its heavily defense favored. Almost only the bunker comp is viable there. The choke points are very ridicously placed.
And Volskaya? It has every negatives i’ve listed from the other maps.
2CP: Paris, absolutely. Awful map. Point A is a chore to capture, and Point B is tedious to defend. You’ve essentially won so long as you’re on Attack and captured Point A…Unless the Defence team decides to run Symmetra and/or Bastion which they seem to so often do on Paris, and I’ve abhored fighting those characters since my days in Bronze.
Escort: My worst Escort games are definitely on Dorado. The final checkpoint can be very fun, but I absolutely hate the rest of that map. Rialto is a close second, but I take “bad points” off that map because the first 3 quarters are actually decent.
Hybrid: Hollywood. I was going to say it’s the most painful on Attack, but…then I remembered how terrible many Defence games I’ve played on it have been. I generally like Hybrid, but Hollywood can be dreadful at times.
KOTH: Nepal. KOTH is my favourite gamemode so I don’t truly dislike any of the maps, but Nepal Sanctum in particular has its flaws. So much of the action often takes place away from the point (in those little rooms you first enter as you walk into the Sanctum from the outside) and can often lead to a bit of spawn-camping if there’s a persistent Tracer on the enemy team. Oasis Gardens can be a trial at times, too.
Yep, bc only Pharah and Ashe are playable on Busan except MEKA base. Love meka base, downtown is meh and sanctuary is hell. Almost every time the enemy has a Pharah/Torb cancer comp.
Maybe it’s just me but I am just burnt out on ALL the maps. It’s the same maps we have been playing for years. I like the new FFA map, but it’s only in FFA. I play a lot of FFA but still.
