Yeah many of us have played the entire time it’s not a drastically different game. Core is the same minus a tank
Quality of games on average is going down extremely fast. 100% of the games i’ve played today so far have had a “troll sombra” with under 2k damage by end of game.
Only gold 1 but it’s not going to matter by next week. I think everyone is getting a hard reset.
Dont feel bad. My game just now had some spectate and ghost as I solo que’d into a 5 stack with an aim botting mercy. This game is done. S9 is putting it in the grave.

I still only have like 18 hours in Ow2. Still watch streamers play it though and when I do watch them I check the forums.

Honestly, I don’t think the devs are really listening to the community as much as they used to or at least they’ll only listen to influencers who play the game as a job. (i.e. Flats, Jay3, Super, Emong, etc, etc). I feel like you need to be top 500 to get any devs attention and that’s kinda lame.

Your first mistake was giving them any money after OW2 was released and everyone realized it wasn’t a new game.

True, I never really got the recent hype around E.T.
One simply has to play the game to notice what’s wrong with it.
You spend your time falling into ravines and trying to get out of it.
I don’t know what they were thinking. I can’t think of a single fun activity involving entering and exiting a hole for hours on end.

I don’t disagree with that now, but it didn’t used to be that way, and it’s largely the community’s fault. The devs used to engage with us directly here and talk back and forth in threads.
Can you imagine if they tried to do that today? The thread would be 99% “Fix your trash game”, “Liars”, “Incompetent devs can’t even balance the game”, etc. They can’t post here anymore because of all the edgy, entitled teenagers who don’t know how to interact with people. It’s actually bad for business for them to try.
I have my own issues with the game, but constructive criticism gets buried here underneath the whining and TikTok generation attacks on devs. That’s the problem.

I agree with this entirely. I have always wondered if the devs really know how the game works? I mean they obviously code everything to make sure the game is playable and is ready to release without major issues but do they really play the game with a 5v5 so they actually know which hero is OP, balanced or what have you? Because a lot of these hero’s specifically tanks have Ultimates or abilities that are insanely hard to counter. Yea I know they’re tanks and should be harder to kill but some of these hero’s with a pocket is impossible to counter. I guess I wouldn’t be so quick to judge if these developers actually played the game and gave it at least a month to figure out what hero can all be countered in any scenario without one being to OP over another. Or do they just make the game, say it’s ready and release it?
It’s not great, I don’t really buy the “worst sequel” stuff either.
Driver series or possibly castlevania. Or basically any series that started as an 8bit-game and got an n64 or ps1 sequel are bound to have atleast one absolutely horrible game
Oh no no no in terms of “sequels” this is pretty bad not the worst but they made it so bad that anything from S9 ( aside from it being a disaster) will constitute as being better then the past few seasons.
