Cant post unless you have a current Sub? $15 per person even today? 8 people in my family = $120 a month… I pay google $24 a month for 8 people to have unlimited Music… I pay Disney $20 for 8 People to have unlimited streaming… I pay Netflix $18 for 8 people to have unlimited streaming… WoW is dying and still trying to get $15 per person… It make no sense. Family streaming and packages are so old now, Family gaming packs are so old now…

Meanwhile.
I pirate my anime shows, movies, and TV serious. My family uses a bootleg firestick so we get free netflix and others streaming services. All my games are F2P or have been bought at a discount years ago.
No subscriptions.
No consoles.
All on a CPU tower custom built for 1400 dollars. I got the keyboard, mouse, monitor, chair, and desk for free. Some dude was moving offisland so he needed to get rid of some stuff and somehow make cash fast. So I got a huuuge deal!
So my PC runs stuff like Elden Ring at Ultra settings and works smoooth!
That’s me. No BP no buying new games. Just steam, my personal sites, and my PC which is still under a year old, to last me several years plus maintenance fees.

Lol. I was gonna say, FFXIV and WoW are the most relevant (arguably the only relevant) MMORPGS… So if those have subs, it’s not exactly the most archaic practice hahahaha

I won’t be surprised if happened only because it had the resources to take on WoW and WoW was already doing it.
There is a good reason for why there aren’t many games with monthly fees nowadays.
