So I watched well over 20 hours of the cup and am looking forward to the skins. As I have not got them yet, I’m curious as to when they are expected to go out? I’m assuming that it’s probably at the end of the world cup but I am not sure. Pretty much asking anyone on here if they know how that works
Make a support ticket, be nice to them, and detail proof. Did you have an ad blocker on while watching, or noscript, Ghostery, privacy badger, grease monkey. Any of those can prevent viewership rewards. But i watched last year with adblock and i still got it. I had to make a support ticket after 3 weeks of nothing and my rewards were in my inventory the next day
I believe it’s said that they come within 48-72 hours max, but I’m not positive. Were you watching it on twitch? If so, make sure your battle.net account is linked. If not, I think Twitch is the only place you can get the drops.
There’s a forum post about it pinned, I’d recommend checking that for more information. Hope this helps!
(Edit: Also like the other person said, contact support if it doesn’t work as intended when you do the correct steps)
Thanks, I’ll look into that pin. I did watch it on Youtube with an adblock, but it’s linked on their site (overwatch world cup) so I’m assuming it counts. I don’t really have any proof/not sure what that would look like tbh, but I’ll create a support ticket if I don’t see them in a week or so. I do know that my youtube account is linked to my battle.net account.
It doesn’t. Although you could watch the stream on BOTH YouTube and twitch, the rewards were specifically for watching on Twitch.
Well dam, thanks for letting me know tho.
I miss the days when you just earn via only on Twitter.
Np, sorry you missed out on the free stuff. I think we’ll get some more free earnable skins during the WC tournament in the autumn, I’m personally predicting Ana, Pharah, Zarya, and Bastion WC skins will be up for grabs on Twitch, but even if not those specific skins, there will probably definitely be some earnable stuff for watching, so mark your calendar either way.
