Workshop can be used with Junkenstein's Revenge

I wasn’t expecting this, but they actually put Junkenstein’s Revenge in the Modes selection for Custom Games, and it actually works with Workshop scripts! Hopefully next year they’ll do this with Lucioball.

However, one disappointing thing is that the minion enemies (zomnics and zombardiers) are not treated like players, and therefore cannot be actioned upon by a Workshop script. They also don’t trigger events like Player Dealt/Took Damage and such.

On the bright side, bosses and Shock-Tires are detected as players by the Workshop script and work with player-based actions, events, conditions, etc.

If anyone finds something interesting while experimenting with Workshop in this mode, feel free to post it here!

EDIT: Apparently Dummy Bots can only be created for Team 1 (the team defending the castle).

Thats cool, but will the modes be playable after the event has ended or not?

Yes, only “bosses” can be counted as players for Elimination, filters etc so something good can be developed only for unlimited progress. Useless for real…

“Team score” works really well, actually. You can track every time an enemy dies by checking for score changes (unless more enemies die at the same time). You could also use this make something special happen each time you get a new star.

Would be good to see some dummy bots on Junkenstein lol.

Yea, exactly! You can only put them on team 1 though : (

The entire point of using the workshop in this is to make it prettier, give special funtionality, or just get funky. Its basically useless because player values are basically nonexistent. Yeah, ONE function ruins the entire purpose of endless scinarios. 99.9% of the enemies can’t be counted as a value, so basically everything in the workshop is useless, because value changes can be done in the custom games, heros, custom games, nothing that workshop is doing in junk is able to surpass custom games.

It’s cool, but it seems extremely limited to what someone can do with it.
