Wireless is King but it comes at a premium. I’m using the G pro Wireless ( Most of OWL Players use the g pro wireless ) went from a G403 wired. Night and day difference. But you can always swap the cable for a better paracord cable on a wired mouse and get similar performance.
If your looking for a new mouse, i recommend looking at RJN (RocketJumpNinja) for a new mouse. Look at shape ( aim grip style - Claw, Fingertip or Palm) & weight first

Rn i’m using the logitech g pro wirless mouse, and i honestly really like it, before i used a wired mouse and the cord from that mouse was pretty bad.
And i wanted to upgrade my stuff for a while and i decided on that mouse because it seems like it was pretty popular as well lol, and logitech is a pretty popular company i guess so why not, and it’s working pretty well for me. It fits pretty good in my hand while using palm grip and the battery life is also prett good, so far i haven’t had any troubles with it at all so i’m happy i picked that one.
I would also prefer a wireless one instead of wired or a battery one, because it just works so much better and the mouse if also really light when moving it around on the mousepad.
This is probably why I still used wired things lol

Yes it makes a difference.
Only reason to still be using wired mice in 2021 is because
- Generally cheaper
- Generally lighter
Also you can literally make any wireless mouse wired by plugging in the cable so any silly argument about input lag (most high end wireless mice beat wired ones) is pointless.

Wired. Easier for me if switching what it is connected to, no batteries to be concerned with. Just works for a simple Draco brain. No want wireless pairing/powering hassle.
There are a lot of goofy replies to your question…
If you buy a reasonably high end wireless mouse you won’t notice any lag as compared to wired. Most of them carry enough charge to last for awhile and most have convenient charging solutions.
The biggest downside to wireless peripherals these days would be that you typically do need to remember to charge them at some point and they’re going to be more expensive than the wired peripherals which will perform the same.
I personally use a wired mouse as my Rival700 does every thing I need it to do and still looks/performs fine. I’ll likely look into a wireless solution when/if it breaks simply for one less wire on my desk.
As an added tip - stay away from anything with Razer branding on it; their longevity is unpredictable and their support is worthless.
looks at Razer mouse, mouse pad and phone

Their stuff is fine until it stops working and then you better hope the PC gods are smiling upon you when you make that support contact with Razer
On the bright side not much can go wrong with a mouse pad
I meant/mean no disrespect their stuff tends to be popular as they’re good at marketing and their products tend to look nice; I was once interested in their laptops until I did a bit of research. But their products tend to develop fatal/really annoying flaws at concerning rates and their support is notoriously incompetent at anything aside from problem avoidance.
This combined with their tendency to act like it’s ok for them to charge apple-esque prices just isn’t great especially when most other MFG’s will honor their warranties in a timely-ish manner and don’t seem to have quite as much planned obsolescence baked into their products.

It does.
Wireless is better both theoretically and practically.

I personally use a wired mouse. I prefer wired because you don’t have to pay for batteries and don’t have to worry about the mouse dying mid-game if it is wired and gets it’s power supply from the device it’s connected to. Wireless mice often require batteries from my experience.
I also have a bad habit of dropping my mice which can break them, with wired it normally has a cord long enough to make it feel like it’s not wired, but short enough to catch the mouse before it actually impacts with the floor.
I hate when people say this stuff. The same type of battery that inside of your cellphone is inside most gaming mice. The only wireless mice taking double A or whatever are the $5 ones from walmart.
Stop putting wireless gaming mice on the same level as this.
Also, if you are willing to play with a wire, why are you not willing to plug in a wire into a wireless mouse and play it wired?
The points people tend to make around this topic are asinine
It’s an opinion, don’t have to get so personal about it. Not everyone can afford the newest gaming gear. I could hardly afford my computer which is suppose to be for gaming, but still gives me problems when it shouldn’t.
Also do you even play? Your profile says you are level 1 all around, better work on getting those levels up. Having a preference isn’t asinine. Calling people who disagree with your preference is asinine.
Plebs. Play with a Microsoft Sidewinder or GTFO!

Good wireless mice are better imo if budget allows. Latency is not a factor, yes you have to charge them but you can use them while charging. I use g703 , and i have to charge it twice a month maybe (depends on usage obviously). For charging, I just use it in wired mode and do non overwatch/gaming things with it.
As someone mentioned above, lots of pro ow players and streamers play with wireless mice, so you will not notice a difference in your performance. OW streamers wanted, harbleu and fran play with wireless. Just don’t get a very cheap one if you go for it.

thats just not true, wired are empirically better
Wired mice, wired headphones, wired everything. Call me old-fashioned because it took me until last year until I moved to usb plugin headphones as well.

I go wired, they feel better and I like the slight resistance to movement the wire provides. Wireless felt hollow to me.
I am also pretty rough with mice, and wired are cheaper for the same quality, so that is the only real option finance-wise.
