Winning is the only way to have fun?

I mean if winning is the only thing that puts a smile on your face overwatch is bad place. 50% of you will lose no matter how hard you work because other people improve too. You will face losing streaks because other people are perfectly capable of getting a winning streak too. If winning is the only thing that makes you have fun then there will be many days that you wont have fun.

Being put in complete steamroll games just so the game can manage that 50% winrate has nothing to do with ppl improving.

Because of those steamrolls, losing feels terrible and winning doesn’t feel satisfying enough.

Bad things always stick with us more than good things. What perceive as good and bad is our decision. You can have fun just by learning how to bait flashbang with blinks or improving on a character as your progress. There are tons of things to be satisfied about but we don’t go there much because victory is just too glorified.

As long its not a one sided steamroll, I think it’s all good. A close fight is all we can ask.

You can learn from losing, which makes you win more. Win-win?

If people think it’s fun to only win then I wonder why they play games like Overwatch.

I personally have more fun trolling the other team with my heroes. If I make someone mad on the opposing team then that’s a good game.

hahaha no.
I played in 4.5k scrimes performing on this skill lvl. with my main in 3.8k.
But i still dont have a 100% WR on this Acc that i shoud have dou to the fact that Dia is not my Elo.
But for some reason i lose games dou to totaly boosted DDs.
Ther is a Problem when Lucios get Silver/Gold DMG and elims.
And i cant even learn anything. Its just a playe for boosted players in Dia.

I don’t really mind if I win or lose, I have fun regardless
It is nice to win though and it does make me feel good…especially a good winning streak.
When I’m losing I admit it is not as nice to see, especially when I go on an impressive losing streak…BUT I still manage to have fun and not let it bring me down.
I have my good days and my bad days!
The only time it really bothers me is if I’m in arcade trying to get my 9 wins and for the life of me I can’t win. But that’s why I love that I have all week to do it! When I get frustrated I just move on to something else

To be honest… I don’t really care if I win, don’t get me wrong I’m actually trying to win though but I would rather be in a lost game with fun people in voice chat then a won one with toxic people in chat

You can make losses not matter in your mind. If you detach your self from your SR then you can play the game, play to win and not care when you lose. Also the more you play the less individual losses matter.

I have fun 99% of the time, whether it’s a win or loss. Getting steamrolled one too many times is the 1%.

Depends on the people you’re playing with. The most fun I’ve ever had was a loss with a 5 team Torbjörn. I was Reinhardt, and we all kept spamming about daddy Rein protecting his little Torbs. This was on Nepal village.

Constantly winning is boring, idk maybe its because im not a millennial so i dont feel the need to constantly win

I enjoy good matches, do not enjoy being steam rolled cause the Match Making System decided to put me against a team with a fair higher skill ranking them what me and the team I’m on had.

As said above most games are one-sided steamrolls and that’s no fun. It’s not even the matchmaker’s fault it’s more of just the community being dumb, the moment your team loses/ doesn’t get a point someone gets tilted and practically throws.

I’m ok with losing, I’m not ok getting steamrolled with no chance.

That happens way too often in Overwatch😂

There’s a huge difference in losing because the team was simply better than you, and then losing because the huge number of factors in what makes a team in Overwatch lines up for the enemy, but not for your team and it’s a one sided stomp as a result.

I’m okay with losing. It’s kinda inevitable even when you’re the absolute best player(s) in the game. I’m less okay with losing a game because I get screwed over by matchmaking and never stood a chance.

it’s competitive game. Ofcourse it is about winning.

Losing a game would really only be fun as long as you weren’t being steamrolled and just constantly respawning and feeling terrible throughout the entire game cuz your team can’t cooperate with each other. It would really only be fun if I learned something in the game and felt that I improved on the character I chose
