She’s flying in an armored suit and carries a cannon, and has only had what 2 new skins since OW2 released, it’s too obvious.

I mean yes. That literally is what pays for all the other content we get. All the dress up simulator stuff pays for new heroes and maps and game modes so they are going to maximize the revenue from dress up simulator to maximize the amount of resources they get for the other stuff.

Mercy deserves it more because she does not have a mecha skin. Pharah has… Plenty of mecha skins.

I don’t think fans of Mercy overlap with fans of Gundam. I genuinely think it’ll be one of the least sold Mercy legendary skins despite how well designed it is.

It’s so different for her that I think it will sell well. It would be nice to see some stats on what sells for who and so on… Baptiste has sold about 4 skins by looking at the amount he’s getting

It might be one of the least sold, but it will sell a lot strictly because it’s an entirely new target audience. My Sistah Spice never bought a Mercy skin… Until now.

The least sold mercy skin will probably still be more than whoever is second.
Well I would think Pharah should have mecha themed skins, considering how her design is directly inspired from Japanese mecha tradition (Zone of the Enders, Virtua On, Gundam, etc.), which is also why this snub is even more pointed.
Mercy fans are already feasting at the buffet with new skins practically every season, heck she’s already getting a separate new skin this season along with a Mythic weapon, giving her a collab skin on top is a little overboard. And a LOT of other heroes don’t have mecha-themed skins, Mei, Symmetra, Reaper, Widow, etc., only reason they’d give this to Mercy is🫰🏻💵.
I dunno. I don’t even main Pharah but it just doesn’t sit right with me. I watched Gundam Wing just like the devs growing up and the one hero in their roster that most embodies that fantasy is Pharah, but for the sake of profit they gave it to a support hero (and I’m a support main). Just feels like a gut punch to nostalgia with the realities of capitalism.

That is absolutely true. But, at the end of the day, it’s not Mercy’s fault that she is cute. They should have made Pharah more cute.

If you want more Pharah skins, then spend more money on the Pharah skins that are currently available.
Its similar to the Transformer collab: scaled down in size to fit the heroes of OW2.
I kind of completely forgot about that collab. Never saw these skins in the game after one week or so.
I see some Optimus Prime Reinhardt’s on the rare occassion. Definitely uncommon.
