Windows Keybinds don't work in Overwatch

Lately I had issues with framerate in my game. The screen was stuttering tho no fps was dropping (144 fps). I searched for the answer and find a video where the guy opened Battle.net app with “Run As Administrator” and it worked!
I was so amazed by the stupidity of this bug.

But after this problem I found another. I used two keybind when playing games:

  • Muting mic on Discord (Ctrl + Shift + ~)
  • Spotify pause/play (Mediakey)

The Discord keybind doesn’t work at all. The Spotify keybind is a little bit different. It works with my keyboard shortcut (Fn + F10) but I don’t use it. I prefer using my mouse DPI button as Pause/Play mediakey (it works everywhere and it worked in OW until this problem).

Is there any way I can fix it without sacrificing the screen stutter fix?

That key sequence is the same one they use for activating/deactivating the overlay when a game is loaded.

Unfortunately, you’d probably need to reach out to those respective companies for problems with their keybinds.

The keybind worked fine before

I understand, but Blizzard doesn’t develop those apps or have control over their keybinds.

If running as administrator helps in any way that may indicate there’s a problem with permissions in Windows. Key bindings not working could also be permissions, since it only doesn’t work when you run as admin.

Creating a new administrator account and playing from that account may help.
