I’m seeing literally a widow every match at this point and they’re always CRACKED (except when i get one on my team…figures)
A single well-aiming Widow can just eat entire lobbies and since I’m support mainly i can’t do much outside of going on a flank mission to take her out

The times I see Widow most successful is when her enemy tank has no response. Something like Junker Queen, Zarya, or Orisa- no shield and no range tanks tend to be wide open to her. The point of tank is to make space, but widow can easily deny a lot of space for these tanks.

I see it all the time. The tank picked is Dva and the dps run out in front of her (which really does not matter anyway) and the support chase the dps and pop, pop, pop – Widow is off and running.
The issue I have is, tank does not change to a shield tank to protect, DPS still run out in front anyway, support chase them all and pop, pop, pop.
When there is a widow on the opposing team, I make it my 100% effort to kill her and make sure her life is miserable until she leaves and/or changes. Does this hurt the team, in the long run no, because dead dps is zero dps and if they won’t change I will.

good. I like playing with/against a cracked widow.Keeps everything in balance. 
Zen is pretty effective if you can quickly peak and alt fire. But it isn’t consistent enough to force the enemy Widow to switch.
Yeah idk what this is about. Nearly every time I fight against a Widow they are godlike.
But most of the time I get one on my team they are utterly oblivious to flankers, frontline occasionally for some reason, run into enemies holding left click, etc.
Also whenever I play Widow, the enemy team always happens to have their own Widow who is Diamond+ rank and I get absolutely obliterated. Before my brain even registers that I can see them I’m dead, every time.

As someone who used to main Widow do NOT play Zen into her. He has a super huge hitbox and linear movement. His options for peeking are also pretty limited.
Kiriko is like 10000x better into Widow than him.

No, no, no… We all know it is support that is broken… Having 75% of the dps lineup have 1 shot or 1 combo potential is totally fine. If supports all did only 1 damage, healed for 1 hp and had 20 hp all would be fine. Winky-winky-face

You’re never going to kill a pocketed, or smart Widow player as Kiriko. She doesn’t have the same burst as Zen.
If you can peak quick enough, or while she’s distracted throw your alt fire at him then he is absolutely a good pick against her. As someone who mains Zen, I can tell you that.
If you tank and dps can’t, or won’t, deal with the Widow, your best option as a support is to go Lucio. Approach her on a flanker route and blitz her sniper position.
Unless she gets a lucky headshot or massive peel, you should deal with her easily. She can’t escape Lucio, and his self heal can out do her close range damage.
She doesn’t need massive peel. She needs any peel to survive Lucio. His damage is weak, you can’t kill pocketed Widow.
But she needs good peel vs Sombra decloacking behind her and oneclipping her head. If she doesn’t have permament Mercy pocket then she usually just dies there.
No she doesnt, any half decent widow would grapple away the second the “detected” sound and message comes into prompt or the decloaking sound. Sombra can be a nucence to widow but only if she camps her and dedicates her entire game to camping her which no other hero requires that level of counter and focus.
Well people in GM gets clipped because you delete Widow in like half a second if you don’t hack her but just shoot her head when she is scoped. And yes, I mark her exclusively. Trading my attention for making her go to spawn 24/7 is worth it. I can do some damage when she is dead, but as long Widow is somewhere there - I will hunt her down.
This method doesn’t work only on highgrounds where you can’t walk without using Translocator. Then it’s hard to catch Widow by surprise. And of course if their D.Va or something peels for Widow you are dead because you used Translocator to get to her.
Imo Sombra is the only counter in the dps roster to Widow. There are some matchups that make her life more challenging like Genji, but those don’t work well on long range maps so it usually goes down to mirroring Widow on Havana. But if you don’t play sniper yourself, imo Sombra is the best shot you have. She is pretty good at killing Widows.
Depends on the peel. A Mercy pocket is easy enough to handle for an average Lucio player (like me). You either kill them both, or tie them up for so long that your team wins the 4v3. Serious peel would be a dive tank or another dps coming back to cover her. That’s an issue.
I’ve yet to see Lucio killing anything through Mercy pocket. His damage is trash, it’s what, 86 dps or something like that? Mercy beam heals most of it. Widow only needs to land a bodyshot on you and she can kill you with SMG then. Or if she is pocketed she can SMG you because you can’t kill her xd
