Hello, dear Blizzard!) Will you do “X2 experience” time between the seasons?)
If I remember correctly the reason they added 2X EXP was because of floods of complaints about how the dance emotes were put into the game for a limited time during the last anniversary event as well as adding something like 10+ legendary skins. It was an open gesture by them to attempt to rectify the complaints because back then duplicates were still in the loot boxes and all of this compounded onto itself.
In my opinion, If there is another 2x EXP weekend, it will be out of tradition, rather than be because people actually need it, mainly because dupes are gone and dance emotes will only cost 250 coins this time around.

There’ll likely be new emotes.
it also didn’t help that the event didn’t even have any gamemodes going with it. it only had cosmetic.
most likely it will be X2 exp again unless they release a new gamemode.
