Pretty sure mid season is next week. And we had a few balance changes last week. So I highly doubt there would be a patch.

i believe the next test starts on jan 21, but it wont be OWC

Shame.

Overwatch Classic managed to make me come back after two years.
Even 1.0 was better than 6v6, as much as folks currently defend 6v6.

Though I guess, if I was stuck between 6v6 and 5v5 I probably would say the same thing.

Fortunately, Iā€™m able to just walk away.

6v6 is great and way more fun than 5v5, but itā€™s time to try something completely new for the main game.

Min 1 Max 3 test canā€™t come soon enough to give us that in-between OG OW and OG 6v6 that weā€™ve never had a chance to play. Hopefully it can be the best compromise yet.

No? We already got the mid season update. They made Widowmaker pre-season 9. That was the noteworthy change. And miraculously the complaints ended because the people complaining were not even playing against good Widowmaker to begin with. Fancy that! A surprise to us all, surely.

That was a hot fix not a mid season patch though

Why did they wait until halfway through the season to hotfix? Couldnā€™t they justā€¦ Not? Albeit, I still wouldnā€™t expect anything major. They are obviously going to save it for the shake up next seasonā€¦ I think. Okay, so perhaps itā€™s not obvious!

Who knows what goes through their heads sometimes.

If I had to guess it was mostly because of the hazard nerf, and then they just threw in the widow change and sojourn change because they didnā€™t want a hot fix with only hazard nerfs? Idk lol

Frankly, 2-2-2 is more fun than 5v5, and Rivals even with pure open queue (certainly not my favorite, jesus) is more fun than 5v5

Similar flexibility but with an enforced team core, AND speedy queue times? I feel like this shouldā€™ve been done ages ago, but better late than never. Iā€™m gonna flex all over the place when this drops even if I am currently a Rivals addict

Yeah Iā€™ve never understood the crying about how itā€™s just going to be perma 1-3-1. Like sure itā€™s rarely the optimal comp (even tho it was the comp that beat GOATS,) but neither are the trash comps you get from randoms in 90% of games in role-queue anyways.

Super fast queue times and the abiltiy to flex = incredible potential.

We had a hotfix prior to the holidays, and then a hotfix after the holidays. And now mid season next week.

Widow has been complained about for a long time, and sojourn has been real strong ever since her huge rail buff. Not that I think the nerf she got does pretty much anything at all.

For sure, what I mean is that Widow has been an issue for months so it doesnā€™t make much sense to me to treat it as an urgent change that needs to be part of the hotfix right this second. Same as the sojourn nerf (because the sojourn nerf is kinda who cares)

Hazard makes sense because heā€™s a new hero, heā€™s over performing, maybe you donā€™t want to wait until mid season when heā€™s obviously too strong and thereā€™s no reason to wait.
