Like in an emote for Orisa? Like, she pops out behind Orisa to do some quick repairs and teleports away (bit like Sombra).

i feel weird when i have to shoot a monkey in game, i think shooting a kid would be even worseā¦

Anyway as for OPā¦a while ago I āmadeā emotes involving jet pack cat for all heroesā¦for orisa I had a panel opening up and you could see him messing around with levers and suchā¦could easily be Efi instead

OP: Efi shouldnāt just be an emote. But sheās technically too young to actually be a hero in the game otherwise.

She is a kid and having a kid in a war game is kinda problematic.
I think kids on war shouldnāt be normalized in any way. Real world having countries who uses childhood as a resource for war are measly.

I think there is some laws regarding children characters canāt be harm in video games, at least from what I see in Western games.
Then yet again, there are games like Heavy Rain where the plot is revolved around children getting murdered (cutscene and in game QTE), so there is that.
And then there are games like Fallout and Skyrim where children NPC are virtually invincible.
I donāt think Efi will be a playable character, but Iām sure sheāll be in some story mission cinematics in Overwatch 2! At the end of The Hero of Numbani, itās implied that Efi and Orisa are going to meet up with Sojourn, who we know is an OW2 character. Unless this plot point is continued through a cinematic, comic, or short story, I think thereās a good possibility weāll be seeing Efi in game!

I think too risky to see her in game like other people have mentioned. You know how people shoot Orisaās dog or Brigās cat sometimes? Itāll def happen to Efi if sheās an emote, and thatās justā¦idk. Ik itās just a game and sheās fictional, but better not to put children in war games (unless the game specifically addresses this issue or somethingā¦ but thatās not OWās theme).
Also sexualisation. fanfics, fanarts, tbagging in-game (which idc abt normally but not to a child character lol).
I think what could work is an Orisa emote similar to Anaās where she brings up a hologram of her and Pharah when she was a kid. I think that could be cute and pretty safe lol.
Efi would be really interesting according to what Iāve heard about the Hero of Numbani novel and its events

Yeah! Efi was such a fun character to read about and I loved getting more insight about her. Her relationship with Orisa, her friends and family, and her community was very well developed, and it was also great to learn more about Lucio and Doomfist. I hope they donāt let the themes of the novel go to waste in Overwatch 2! ^w^
Wow, bit harsh voices here. I just wanted to see more acknowledgement of Efiās importance for Overwatch after I read the āHero of Numbaniā book. Yes, we have some sprays and Orisa mentioning her, but Efi herself is not in the game. Ganymede is in the game for peteās sake. Hey, a highlight intro with Efi in it would also be great.

I donāt really think they would ever put it in the game, but it would be really cool to see it happen.
I mean they have done it with brigittes cat and a random dog with orisa so why not.

They could add Efi as a legendary victory pose or highlight intro.
That way sheās never be in the action, but still has some representation.
