There’s one objective in PvP Overwatch: Prevent the other team from having fun.
Because of this, I tend to lean more towards PvE co-op stuff, and I’m disappointed that the mission where you fight robots was removed from the game, I would have really liked to see that expanded upon.
There’s also a lot of comics and backstory that would lend itself towards co-op missions, such as that recent Bastet thing. Nice skin and all, but a 2 player coop mission would have been fantastic.
They’ve given reasons as to why they didn’t keep those modes permanently. If they were permanent, they would get old very quickly and people would constantly pressure the developers to make more, hence the quality of said PvE modes would undoubtedly decrease.
It already exists. It’s your teammates and enemy team. Already PvE
If that’s the case, then why does this game swing wildly between “Very Easy” and “Brutal” difficulty? It’s so inconsistent that it may as well be a luck of the draw.
It’s because: Blizzard’s mm system which forces some things out of our control.
First OW is NOT a fps game. It’s shooter. You’ve so many different characters unlike let’s say csgo.
So the mm puts you up along with 5 others who the algorithm thinks will play their most played role in the match. But most of the times there’ll be at least 1 person trying out a new hero or the hero they’re not so good with. Most of the times the picks don’t have synergies. IF enemy team has same thing but there’re certain picks which go well together, you’ll lose a match regardless of what. On top of my head i can remember two matches. Anubis: they had torb bastion orisa sym comp. We ran a junk and zarya since they’d a zen and no one could play ana in our team. We won because of tire and grav. Another match: leaver with them pushing the cart all the way to 2nd point kf Eichenwald. We ran: lucio( me) phara tracer genji and sombra.
We won the match while they were running 2 2 2 with rein/zarya. We’d tons of mobility and they didn’t.
This is why lucio is the most important pick in dive/goats/deathball if you’re running one. Just 1 pick changes and forces enemy to change playstyle. Imagine for 5 other picks.
