We lower the chatrge time between stages to 1.5 seconds
and we give it 2 meters range as it seems it’s always seems just about 2 meters too short.
As a trade off nerf I think barriers don’t need to recharge ammo, but they can just have barriers not cost any ammo.

Even with Top500 Zarya accuracy (50%), her dps with Beam level 3 will only be about 90 dps. Not sure why everyone acts like she’s a goddess with beam level 3 when it’s still generally weaken then her previous version.

I think they need to get rid of the ramping up of her beam, since it only functioned well with the lock on. Make it a static dps and call it a day. Right now there is like no reason to use her primary fire, her secondary can kill faster and is easier to aim.
You’re assuming that someone with 50% accuracy will always have 50% accuracy.
Even good McCree players don’t have 100% accuracy, yet its fairly common for a good McCree to hit an entire clip.
Sure, sometimes Symmetra players don’t always have the same consistent dps as before, but the burst potential is generally more valuable.
But that was assuming Top500 Zarya accuracy, not average player accuracy.
Now imagine how well that goes in sub-GM with 200 hp and no bubble.
My point is simply that people talk about the new gun as if its great with good accuracy and completely disregard the fact the old gun beats the new one 95% of the time.
Anyone can track a D.Va, a Roadhog or a Reinhardt. That isn’t hard.
The old gun definitely isn’t better simply because her alt-fire is so good lol.
When there are barriers or tanks to charge it on, then left click is better. Given the higher dmg comes with more risk.
Overall old left click was stronger, but her new right click is also much stronger than b4. Left click is more situational now, in those situations its great, outside of them, spam right orbs is better.
I focus on orbs (I have switched the attacks) for most of my damage but I find I am constantly weaving in uses of the beam. It simply erases enemies who survived one of your orbs with just a bit of health left (they are not worth the time for another orb). Still bypasses Defense Matrix and Reflect. It’s not ideal for Symmetra to spend a lot of time cuddled up next to enemy barriers, but those situations do come up, and the beam is an excellent weapon for them. Finally, whenever their is a friendly Mei on my team, a message pops up on my screen that reads : “Welcome to Damage Town, Population: YOU”.
It is DEFINITELY not the primary fire anymore. But it doesn’t feel at all weak or useless; I feel that it complements the new real primary fire (orbs) very well and they feel good to use together.
after playing her I have to agree. Her damage ramp needs to be slightly faster since it has a lower max damage. She could also use some more range as well. Adding 2-3m could go a long way and it wouldn’t make her too strong seeing as she needs to really track her targets.
