Marvel Rivals keeps having event battlepasses with like 2-4 skins, tokens to recolour skins, emoticons, highlight intro’s that cost money, funding the game. They’re quality skins like gi-joe but would be way cheaper you just need to grind it out 1k coins.
Probably not, rivals does this as a way to compete with blizzard whales and blizzard whales will buy anything in the shop regardless of the price

Plus from a business model standpoint there’s only so many Juno/Mercy/Kiriko skins you can fit into an event rotation before you cause whale fatigue.
They do though, if the gi joe or transformers was an event battlepass it would have brought massive hype and way more people would purchase it

They should bring back the LE SERRAFIM/Dokiwatch model back: add 1 free earnable skin or BP skin connected with a store themed bundle event. Thats the best model in my opinion.
this playerbase deserve the worst, how all of you forgot about that christmass mini battle pass everyone hated because was paywalled event full of fomo because you couldnt even get all the rewards if you pay for it. now you want more, and is because marvel rivals is doing it, oh my god, marvel, hurry and relase a pve mode to bury this trash game forever

That’s not happening for 2025. Especially since Microsoft has been laying off not hiring.
2026 budget we will see. But have as good a chance of getting PvE before we get a mini pass.
Last time they did one was that Winter one. Maybe they re-run it, but again they did cut some staff.

nothing they do works to retain players, the only people playing are the loyal shillers who will never accept bad things, no story progression, no more events, content cadence has been a joke, is a miracle they havent stopped to make characters, im frankly impressed, they wasted all time and effort and stadium, yeah some are playing but how many? the novelty died queue times are insane.
anyway, what they should do is bring back lootboxes every new level, give white credits after every match on any mode, if you win you get more, bring back real events with new modes and free rewards but instead of giving for free the ugly skin nobody would have bought, you get like a cupon for beating every challange and can change it for any skin of the event you want, imagine the amount of people will play for that, thats how you reward people for their loyalty and retain them, i dont think im even asking too much, is just blizzard is so scummy and people is so used to it what i ask seems imposssible generous, is almost like they will go bankrupt if they do this “duh how they will get profits? duh”
Well, in a way, they already did with 2023s Winter Wonderland event pass thing. Remember, you paid like an extra 5 dollars for the base ticket/tickets, and you paid x amount more for the whole thing or something like that. The blogs are probably still in the news section if you look for them.
