My computer is dusty, I’d much rather play the game on my Xbox Series X, but of course not with controller. Many other FPS including other Activision properties have this support. I don’t mind being grouped based on input device ie PC pool, as I already play on PC. This should be a priority for the team, other shooters are already doing this!
They said they have no plans on that sort of thing today. Same reason why they won’t allow aim assist turned on for people using a controller. There’s too much of an advantage/disadvantage when playing cross play, and they don’t want to allow cross play in competitive.

There’s no reason they can’t. There’s a decent amount of people that play mouse keyboard on console, pretty frustrating Blizzard can’t get with the times. They’re owned by Microsoft FFS which is all in on this sort of inclusivity.

They don’t want to allow it, simple as. One of their mottos is, “Play nice, play fair.” It’s not fair to have aim assist if others are using KBM. Same way it’s not fair to use KBM when everyone else has controllers. I mean hell, there are literally devices out there to allow you to use a KBM on consoles because it spoofs them as a console controller input. It DOES give a competitive advantage, and they don’t want that, even if they shove you in with PC players. People will find ways to cheese the system, or will use one of the many aforementioned devices to spoof their controller as a KBM, without actually using KBM.

There’s literally no difference between using a mouse on console versus PC. Plenty other games already do this. You are far far far more likely to run in to someone hacking on PC than someone trying to spoof aim assist on console. Mouse and keyboard are natively supported on consoles now, nobody is trying to spoof anything.

It’s nice you think that. But in a competitive sense, of course people will spoof for an advantage, if the option is there. Why would I, on a native PC, not spoof my KBM inputs as console inputs if it meant that I had aim assist? I get all the advantage of playing on KBM in addition to aim assist. Same thing happens on consoles. And let’s assume that KBM input put you in to competitive lobbies with no aim assist and only with other KBM users. If the quality of the games are better over there, but for some stupid reason I didn’t want to use KBM, why not just spoof my controller inputs as KBM? Suddenly I’m paired with other players who can carry me, despite my non aim assisted controller inputs being a disadvantage.
Just because other games might support it doesn’t mean blizzard has to, nor do they want to. They’ve given their current stance, and you’ll just have to live with it.
They did add KB&M to Xbox as my friends tested it and they could use their DPI on overwatch. It’s there but scuffed since it’s only the beta! I really hope they keep it

hello, do you know how to activate the keyboard mouse?
I see the binds in the options but when I connect my keyboard and my mouse to my Xbox these do nothing on overwatch 2.
they are however usable on the internet

Try a full reset of your Xbox with mouse and keyboard already plugged in maybe? I know you have to do that for Halo Infinite.

I tried resetting the console (keeping the games) it didn’t work then I tried reinstalling the beta and it still doesn’t work. I’m on Xbox one, it may only be available on the latest generation of consoles, I don’t know.
I’m a little disappointed but we’ll see later.

Hi, im wondering if i can use kbm on a ps5 because in the place in the settings where you can change your binds it literally lists all of the kbm binds qswell as the console ones, but the kbm ones are all greyed out. Can anyone help me on this issue?

You can use it only if you are in a squad with pc people.

But what if people are using a broken controller and they can’t buy on and all they have is Xbox or PlayStation hmm

So my friends mouse and keyboard wouldn’t connect but then he joined my party (I’m on PC he’s on Xbox) then it connected but he can only turn left with his mouse don’t know if it’s just him but try this out see if it helps I guess
If they ever allow for it, they’d better dump those users in the PC pool. I have an Xbox because I wanna play with people using controllers.

in my opinion, blizzard could put mouse and keyboard support, but people who enable keyboard and mouse support should fall in line with people or who also enable the option or with pc people!
